Cove Cay Golf Club
Played On 05/05/2017Beautiful course
We've played this course a few times now and are always drawn back by the beauty. The views, the layout, the mixture of trees and plants and the wildlife all make for a picturesque experience.
The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The food in the clubhouse is good and they have an extensive menu. There are showers available in the locker room as well.
The course itself was in fair condition - not great, not bad. The greens have patches of other grass and previous hole locations that haven't healed and rolled inconsistently. The fairways were mixed in terms of health.
While we enjoy playing this course the one layout feature we always find vexing (and I could really do without) is nearly every green is closely guarded by several deep bunkers...bring your pail and shovel
Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club
Played On 05/02/2017Doesn't seem as long as the yardage indicates
Not a long hitter by any stretch of my imagination, but the course played very easily for my wife and I - although I guess I hit a fairway wood more often than normal.
The greens rolled perfectly and consistently, in fact I was annoyed by the group in front of us plumb bobbing every putt and trying to read greens like it was a PGA match. These greens aren't tricky and don't really break unexpectedly. The fairways were in decent shape but produced some tight lies.
Aside from the somewhat slowish pace of the group ahead of us, we really enjoyed our round here
Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis
Played On 05/10/2015Course with many characteristics
First off, the course had been recently aerated - very well documented and the staff made absolutely sure we were aware of it before hand. But as bad as they played it up, the course actually played very nicely. Some previous reviews have mentioned that the tee boxes were in rough condition and I'd agree.
The course itself makes it's way through a variety of terrain and features. Sometimes you feel like you're playing on a public links course. Others, like you're winding through a private golf community. We really enjoyed the varied experience. The design left enough of a challenge without being overly daunting.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the young men who helped with our clubs (no carts in the parking lot, please) to the starter who gave us some tips and water hazard caution (snakes) - and who didn't give us the hairy eyeball when we let a single play through at the turn.
The GPS in the carts was not only helpful regarding yardage and such, but when it warned you of a blind spot it would show where the carts of the group in front of you were - pretty neat.
Overall we had a nice experience and would certainly consider returning
Seminole Lake Country Club
Played On 05/11/2014Very consistent greens
Played here on Mothers Day and they were very polite and up front about the "Member for a Day" special which normally includes lunch and a beverage. Obviously with the buffet they were having and reservations, etc. they apologized about not being able to do the full deal at the rate, so they gave us a great discount. We were met at our car by a staffer with a cart who loaded it for us and gave us a brief rundown of where everything was and what to do - nice! Course itself was in solid condition despite some ongoing ground maintenance (free relief). The greens from start to finish we're in great shape and even as the day heated up, stayed pretty consistent. The course meanders through a residential neighborhood, but NOT through a cookie cutter development which made it much more appealing. My wife, who is a beginner, did well here too so overall we had a really great round
We are so glad that you had a good experience playing our course! We are always thrilled to hear positive reviews about our staff because that is something we pride ourselves on. Thanks again for playing Seascape. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
