Atlantis Country Club
Played On 09/27/2017Course Needs Some TLC
The course has relatively little water, well bunkered greens, and a fairly open layout. Unfortunately the greens had been sanded fairly recently and was a little rough and they have been really mowing the fairways short so they all look a little brown. Only one place with water on the course which isn't great on a hot, humid day. The course was not crowded so the pace of play was great. The course was OK but I believe there are other courses in the area that will offer a better experience for the same or less money.
Sandhill Crane Golf Club - Championship Golf Course
Played On 09/25/2017Very Nice Course if you like a Little Water
While the course is not all that long, there are some fairly significant tee shots over water. The front nine has water on most of the holes. There are a couple interesting double dogleg holes - one on the front nine and one on the back. The course was in really nice shape. The greens played true but were not very fast. The fairways are reasonably wide and forgiving. The staff was super friendly. Although the pro shop is in a trailer, you can see that they are building what looks to be a very nice clubhouse. As a result, you had to find your way around some construction. We will definitely play here again the next time we are in the area.
Very nice course, but with some challenges
This was our first time playing this course and we were very pleased with the conditions considering the time of year. The variety of tees made it possible to find something to match most any handicap. The greens were a bit tough to read and hard but the fairways were pretty open which made for an interesting round. The pace of play was quite good until midway through the back nine when slow play by a group several foursomes ahead of us had things pretty well backed up. No course marshall to help speed up play. They say you can walk this course but I can't imagine why. It is pretty spread out and walkers couldn't possibly maintain a reasonable pace of play. We will definitely be back as this was the nicest course we have played so far in the Branson area.
