Many of the sandtraps have been refurbished since my last round here (thankfully I didn't spend any time in them), which were the only thing close to an eyesore in the past. The old sandtraps would collect water and then pool up for a week(s) to follow. Now that problem is eradicated and the course is gorgeous from tee to green on every hole. Arrowhead is a splendid place to play a round of golf.

This course is a gem. With the exception of hole 11, the layout of the course is great. The scenery is exceptional. The value of the course is amazing for the price you will pay. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

My buddy and I got to the course in advance of our actual tee time, by about 45 minutes. We were allowed to check in and could have gotten an early start at the course if we desired. we hit the range before our round. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cook was pleasant as we stopped in at the turn and had a breakfast sandwich and watched some of the early Master's coverage in the delightfully refurbished eating area. Some of the fairways and first cuts are a little chewed up, but I think that there will be some improvement as the season progresses. Only 2-3 greens in poor shape.
