Buggy attendants asked my wife what was in our cool bag. She said water and coke. They said they wanted to search our bags for beer. At this point I came out of the pro shop and told them we would not be searched. They said we could not go onto the course. I got angry and said we would go somewhere else to play. I went back to the pro shop where a heated argument took place. The guy said we had to buy their beer. He went on about if I killed some old lady on the way home that he would be blamed if I drank my own beer. But I could drink the clubs beer. He made no sense. They sell golf balls but I can bring my own. They sell candy and cigars but I can bring my own they sell t-shirts but I can wear my own. But I cant bring my own beer. I should've brought a bottle of vodka with me. I have played this course dozens of times and have been playing golf for fifty years and never experienced hostility and stupidity like this anywhere in the world. I would advise any golfers who enjoy a beer during a round to stay away from this course.

very nice clubhouse, good layout, staff are friendly, greens are pretty good but the fairways were terrible. you could not play this course as the ball lies. preferred lies is all you can do . no grass in a lot of places dead grass in a lot of places and holes and generally very poor condition. i was disappointed only with the fairways. everything else was good.

there has been a lot of money spent on swiss fairways over the past couple of years. New buggies, new paths, new rest rooms. Unfortunately no money has been spent on the golf course. The fairways are terrible, full of holes and badly cut. No grass on about 25%. This is bad but not as bad as the greens. never in my life have I played on worse greens. The fire ants have completely taken over. They are in my opinion, unplayable. You almost need to take a full swing with your putter to get the ball to move while you swat fire ants from your legs. Swiss fairways has a great layout. Its great to see they are spending money on it, but please, spend the money on the course. That is where its needed.
