The Ridgewood lakes layout was always tight, with a lot of water in play. Now new ownership has changed the name and done extensive plantings of tall grass throughout the course making it tighter and slower to play. Off target shots will end up up in the tall grass and searching for your ball will slow you down and take the enjoyment out of your round.

The greens were probably the best I've played on this fall. The Poa Triv overseed took well, and they roll smooth. It's kinda tight, so you need to be smart off the tee to score well. The back nine is a great test, with some very well conceived holes and routing. I will be back soon, with a better feel for the course, I should score better. I really enjoyed the course, a nice discovery!

The course is easy to get to, and has a good curb appeal. But, there is no driving range to warm up up on. The practice green has only 3 holes cut. Upon teeing off it is difficult to distinguish the fairway from the rough. Even though there is an overseed of rye grass, the amount of weeds and different grass types make the lies in the fairways marginal at best. We liked the layout, the undulation of the greens and the mounding around the course and the elevation changes. With some money spent on weed control and some re-grassing this can be a lot better golf experience.

staff was very friendly and helpful, course was well maintained although recently airified greens were kinda bumpy at times but had good speed. Rough was well mowed and fair in length. Had a good time will return and have passed my experiences to friends already.
