Never been dissatisfied playing here. Always in good shape for March from the tee box to the green.

Been coming to Hilton Head for 40 plus years. For the past 8 years, Old South has been the first course we play that week. Always in better shape than most for the middle of March. Greens are the slowest in Beaufort County but pretty true. Good test especially with the Sound whipping the wind on a few holes. I enjoy the fact there are no homes on most of course. See ya next year.

I was really excited about playing Rose Hill this year. Had heard new ownership/Mgmt had taken over. The greens were in decent shape. The starter told us on the first tee that the course was in really good shape. He should probably play it. The fairways and tee boxes had more dirt than grass to hit from. There was zero sand in the bunkers, nor was there a rake with any trap. It was a really good value when it was $28-35 a round not that many years ago. Not so much this time around. I was told they gave a great 3 month deal to walkers. That's probably why the course was playing slower than I remember since playing first playing here in the early 80's. Overall, it was a real disappointment.

Old South is the first course I play every year. Greens were really good and true. Course was in great shape for March and pace of play was solid. I've played there every year for a long time and have never left disappointed. Way better than other tracks on the Island for the value..

I have been coming to Hilton Head for over 30 and have played Bear Creek well over 15 times. The staff was always pleasant and the course usually ok. The greens were a little bit ate up compared to Old South and Hilton Head National. The pro shop told us how wonderful they were to give us free lunch and a draft beer. Really didn't want a 3 day old turkey or ham sandwich and a warm draft beer especially on a nice sunny day. I wanted to BUY lunch, but the lady at the lunch counter insisted all we could have was turkey or ham since we were making the turn. We were told no 4 times. I got it after the first time. There were no hole markers, as far as pictures. Couldn't tell if a hole was a dogleg left or right if we hadn't played it before.

After management changed at the course, I wasn't impressed with any of the staff from the pro shop to the cart boys. There are too many courses who appreciate taking my money. Will never play there again.

The greens were almost perfect for a cold March day. Have played 7 or 8 times over the last few years. The pro shop staff is typical of Hilton Head. Not real personable. They almost act like their doing you a favor allowing you to play the course. The cart guys were pretty friendly, as well as the bartender when we stopped for lunch. I don't go there to be friendly with the staff though, I go to play the course.
