This course was played during a rare nice weather day coming off a rather harsh winter season, so in all fairness, it was in really great shape considering that. Fairways were amazingly plush but the greens were a bit sandy which slowed them up considerably. Give this course 4-6 weeks and it will play much nicer, Im sure. There is a full service restaurant on site which I didnt experience, but is available to the public. The printed scorecard has noted in BOLD TYPE, 'No Alcoholic beverages permitted on premises' Why? I ask. Not sure why, but I know I like a cold beer during a round in July when is 90 degrees with no wind. The greens fee is very reasonable with the Golf Now discount for a Friday afternoon round compared to another course I have played in Egg Harbor Township. I was paired up with two other guys and we got on the first tee right away upon arrival. I will return during late Spring for another round and maybe try the restaurant also. Nice experience here.

Decided to get out and play during a break in the cold snap. No leaves to contend with, Tee Boxes, Fairways and Greens all clear. Great job by the Greenskeepers! Also the work on the access road from I-195 is complete, another great job, makes it easier and safer to get there. Gamblers should be your Winter go-to course barring snowfall. Big, cozy bar and attentive personnel in the pro shop and pub seal the deal.

Nice afternoon weather for February and breezed thru 18 holes with a cart. Long and straight hitters will have many birdie opportunities here. Crews were working the turf in preparation for the Spring season. Cart paths need work as they are mostly compressed dirt. Overall a nice day. Also the full service restaurant and bar was busy with locals on a Tuesday afternoon.

A must play course if you’re in the Atlantic City area. Great staff at bag drop, Pro Shop and very well organized. Course was in excellent shape with new sand (lots of new sand) Great day in the middle of January. Will definitely be back in the Spring

The sign in the pro shop encouraged walking this course. Here’s why. As my GolfNow tee time included a motorized cart, I took one for a late afternoon tee time. If I got 12 holes in before sunset I would call it a day. The cart ran out of juice on the 5th hole so I called the pro shop for a replacement. Ok great. Playing again with a new cart. It also runs out of juice after one hole. This has never happened to me in 30 years playing the links. Granted the course was busy on a two day break from the frigid weather, it seems they only have a handful of working motorized carts in circulation. I gave up after that and returned the cart and left. The course needs work and it’s actually a nice layout with some unique holes, I hope they fix the problems up because its one of the only courses in the area.

Was a good experience at a fantastic price. Motorized carts are never included, cost 12 Dollars. Some fairways needed to be cut, maybe letting over seeding efforts grow out. Greens were in good shape although people should really fix their ball marks on the greens, C'Mon it takes like 15 seconds to do this. Greens were damp from heavy rain the previous day and it was very evident with many fresh ball marks. Pro Shop gal was friendly and helpful.

Played here with an afternoon tee-time and got out on time. There are many improvements underway that will enhance the beauty of this classic course. The greens were true, bunkers are being refreshed and generally well maintained throughout. Some very interesting hole layouts await you here. Some of the cart paths need leveling, probably from the wet weather we had in the Northeast this year. I missed the outdoor bar area, coming soon with the warmer weather coming.

Played as a single rider , got out early and noticed many improvements underway to repair and refresh tee boxes, green aprons, sand traps, etc due to the high amount of play this course gets. Two groups of walkers allowed me to pass through and it was clear sailing starting on the 8th hole. This course always plays tough as you need to have your mid-iron and fairway wood game going to make par on many holes.Ended playing all 18 holes in 2.5 hours on a Tuesday afternoon which was great.
They also have a great entertainment venue on site for food and beverage and live entertainment on weekends.

This is a Somerset County course which is very well maintained and has a nice practice facility as well. The greens were in great shape for early in the season, the sand traps were well maintained and posed a real challenge for approach shots. For those long hitters, this course can play at 6600 yards, regular men's tees are at 6100. Although it rained heavily in the area the day before, there were no issues with wet tee boxes, fairways or greens. A very nice facility.

Fall like weather in February in the North East? What can I say? It was wonderful for a day! This is a true gem of course design and balance of nature. All grass was brown but VERY playable all throughout. The greens were true, no complaints except the number of three putts (my bad). The two staff members I met were genuinely friendly and accommodating. You need to bring your 'A' game to the first tee. I heard the wind is always a factor here. I was not ready for the challenge, but will be back for another shot at this exceptional course.

Cedar Creek is situated in a local park in Ocean County, NJ. It's 10 minutes away from the Garden State Parkway Exit 77 and easy to find. On a pretty busy morning due to the nice weather, the Pro Shop and Starter got me out as a single well before my tee time. The course played fairly easy on the front nine, but things got interesting on the back nine. Most holes on the back are either up an incline or down an incline or both. Combined with extremely wet fairways and lots of water and sand and cart path only restrictions, the back nice became very challenging, as you are usually required to hit an accurate long iron to get on to the green to make par.Luckily, I was paired with two players about my age and handicap who made the day enjoyable. I was told the greens were just 'rolled', so even wet and soft, they played fast. The greens on all 18 holes are challenging, especially #17 which is the shortest hole on the course, hitting straight up a big hill. I would like to play this course again when it dries out.

Played a quick round at Gamblers before the freeze and snow came in later in the week. Was able to get out right away with the help of the clubhouse staff. Cart path and rough only this day but no problem due to rain the prior day. Greens were slow but very much to my liking, mostly two putted easily the entire round. Was done in under three hours including a light lunch and a few beers in their awesome tavern afterwards.

Played as a single on a beautiful day, probably one of the last warm sunny days we might see in the North East. The fairways were void of leaves and the rough was trimmed so you could find your tee shot there easily. I noticed pin positions I've never seen before which made the course play more difficult than usual. The usual complaints on greens, however, players not fixing their ball marks and deep cleat marks close to the holes made for bad results close to some holes. A foursome should not congregate around the pin. All said, excellent playing conditions and great value!

Booked an afternoon tee time on a hot day, The pace of play was wide open and others players were open to allow you to play thru which resulted in a three hour round. A good variety of holes with water and sand in play. The greens were well kept and putted true, not fast by any means. The course is situated in a residential, gated community and has a specific entrance for the public. Call ahead to get directions to the public entrance and security will guide you to the bag drop. Very good value for the money based on an afternoon start.

Booked this course to play on the way home from Rehoboth Beach, DE. Very friendly pro shop staff got me out early on a not so busy day. This course has some serious sand bunkers that protect the greens and I hit many sand shots on this day. Some long par 3 as well that make you hit your longest iron. I enjoyed the course layout with many trees just off the fairway to try and avoid. This course can play very long or short, based on the 6 or so sets of tee boxes on every hole. I seems like a fair course to bring your junior player or beginner as well.

Located right on US 1 10 miles North of Rehoboth Beach, DE, this course is a favorite for either a first round or last round of many golf trips! Pretty much a wide open layout, so you would think there isnt too much trouble to be had. Not true. If the winds are over 10 mph, it plays havoc with your approach shots. Fairways, tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Greens played faster and are more challenging with the array of pin placements than the last time I was here many years ago. Three putting is common here unless you know the course very well. Always a good value for the money here compared to other courses in the region.

Walked 18 holes at Gamblers. The fairways are lush, greens hard and fast. They had the white tees as far back as I can remember making the course more difficult than past rounds I have played there. Also, being a windy day, it played havoc with high approach shots. You had to make adjustments for that. After the third hole, a foursome let me play thru as a single and I finished my round in just under three hours. Most greens slope towards the fairways, so it's best to be below the hole to be able to two putt for par. Usually play this course 4-5 times a year, this was the best shape I've ever seen the course in.

Walked the 18 holes and found a good pace of play at Weekday at Noon. The greens were harder and faster then I remember, maybe because of the dry weather in the area recently. The course supers can make the greens as hard or as easy as they want on most holes by moving the pin to different locations. Today, they were on the difficult side, so your green reading skills came into play. Sand traps were worked on and much improved from earlier in the month. All in all a nice course to tune up your game.

I havnt played here since late January, just before the big snowstorm and am happy to report that the two Tees mentioned in the Review Title are now fully operational !
This was a sore spot for the course for a long time and now they look great, level, three distances, etc. Windy conditions today made the course much more challenging especially on the par threes. Looking forward to the outdoor patio opening in full swing!

The course was very playable on this day and always provides a challenge to golfers who are not familiar with the layout. The greens and sand traps were in good shape, except for one on the back nine that had some snow remaining on the green. Greens keepers were busy getting the course into shape for the Spring rush. Speaking to a few locals they say the tavern is already in full swing on the weekends.
