My wife and I played this course while dodging sprinklers on every hole on the back except the par 3s. On one hole, the sprinkler went on next to us as we prepared to hit the shot and soaked us. This is the second time this happened. The first time, we did the sprinkler dance on the greens. I didn't complain then but did this time. The pro told me to talk to the General Manager. Since the day we played, I have sent 2 emails to the GM. No response. That probably explains why the course is in bad shape and needs a facelift. The tees are uneven and the fairways and greens are littered with weeds and bare spots making putting unpredictable at best. The facelift should start with the replacement of the greens keeper, the golf pro and the GM. When you are accepting money from the public to support a semi private club that can't sustain itself on its own income, your customers deserve at least a response/apology from those in charge when a complaint is made.

I played 18 holes with friends today. ALL 18 GREENS WERE DESTROYED APPARENTLY FROM SOME FUNGUS. I understand that greens can become diseased, But in this case, the pro shop knew they lost all 18 greens and said NOTHING. Instead, they took our $53 and sent us on our way. I play there often with a large group of guys. But we will never return. Venetian Bay Golf Club may have hit me for $53 this time but they will never get another dime from me or my friends. We have plenty of other places to play where the course is managed professionally.

I haven't played this course since last winter. I thought the course was in good shape then. But that was not the case when I played it on 12-1-17. The greens were horrible--filled with sand and ruts, water, multiple bare spots and slow. The bunkers lacked sand to the extent that raking was not necessary after a shot. The tees looked like the maintenance crew had the wrong lawn mower because the long grass was just pushed down, not cut. On top of that, the green fees were increased on 12-1-17, a further insult. Given what this course once was, I was very disappointed and won't be returning any time soon.
