South at Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort
Played On 03/26/2018Poor Conditions
This is our home course, since we live on the property. The dry conditions on the property have deteriorated the course, so badly that it is not pleasant to play any longer. The only green grass seems to be in a 10 foot radius around the sprinkler heads. I would not waste your time travelling here; or , waste you money to play the course. We played with another couple who said they will never come back.

Played On 03/22/2018Absolutely Horrible
We played the course about a month ago and it was not too bad. How a course could deteriorate so much in one month is beyond me. There is hardly any grass on the fairways and what there is, is so dry a sparse and that it is like hitting off a flat piece of stone. Do these people not water?? The greens have hardly any grass and are 50% mud and 50% sparse grass. Don't waste your money. Playing this course at any price is not worth it.

Played On 01/05/2018Greens Terrible
The greens are terrible. When there is grass, it is so long that you have to slam the ball to get it to the hole. The balls do not run true at all. Many times the ball was on the right track to the hole but did an immediate turn just before the ball was supposed to go in. The fairways are improving but still need a lot of work. I would NOT recommend this course in the this shape
ChampionsGate Golf Club - National
Played On 12/28/2017Beautiful Course
ChampionsGate is a wonderful golf course with terrific grass, like you would find up north; and, not like the Florida grass, that you would find everywhere else around here. We try to play this course as much as possible in December, because as January approaches, the prices start to climb out of our budget. For $38.00, this round of golf was a bargain. The greens were magnificent; and, had great kind ofgrass that were on the fast side because it is so smooth; but, the golf balls ran true. I would play here anytime at these prices.
Cypresswood Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/04/2017Better Than Last Year
The course is still not that great but better than last year. The greens still had weeds which affected the direction and pace of the ball. With a little effort the greens could be rated as good. The staff on check-in did not seem that friendly or cordial compared to other courses in the area. I would recommend it only if you can't find anything else in that price range.
Willowbrook Golf Course
Played On 11/25/2017Absoulely Horrible
The whole course was "cart path only" because of the over seeding. The course was in a deplorable condition. Mud all over the place. The fairways were horrible. The greens were uncut and were at least 1/4 of inch high. You might as well be putting on a shag rug....a complete waste of time. Don't bother going for a least a month.
East at Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort
Played On 11/18/2017Better
We played the EAST course not the south. The course is in better condition than last year but still not very good but what do want for $13.00 a round?
We rent on the Grenelefe, so the east course is easy to get to but we look forward to the south course opening. It is much better.
White Heron Golf Club
Played On 01/26/2017Disappointing
Ridgewood Lakes' normal price was advertised at $65-$75, so even though we only paid $35.00. we were expecting a high end, good condition golf course. We were sadly mistaken. The whole course was unbelievably dry and brown. The fairways had little or no grass on them; and, we felt like we were hitting; and, chipping the ball off cement. The greens were hard; and, had no bite to them at all. If your ball landed by the pin, it would roll 10 yards pass the hole. All three of us in my party were disappointed and even at $35.00 we will not return.
Willowbrook Golf Course
Played On 01/05/2017Good Value for the Money
The course had very dry fairways and sometimes it was hard to find grass. Some of the greens were in excellent shape, while others needed work. For the money we paid, it was a good deal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
East at Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort
Played On 12/28/2016DEPLORABLE CONDITION
The Grenelefe East course was in a deplorable condition. Fairways had little grass on them and the few greens were basically just mud in places. The clubhouse is falling apart; and,. is in a bad stage of repair. I would not recommend this course to anyone at any price. Apparently, the owner doesn't care what the place looks like.
ChampionsGate Golf Club - National
Played On 12/26/2016Best Course Yet!
The National course was the best course we have played yet and we have been in Florida for a month. The course is in excellent condition and the course layout is suburb. I would recommend this course highly to anyone.
Providence Golf Club
Played On 12/10/2016Great Course
We found Providence an excellent golf course, with well kept tee blocks, fairways and greens. The course was well laid out, with ponds in strategic locations, just enough to keep you focused. Only disappointment was that we didn't see any gators that were supposed to be in those ponds. It was fairly evident that the manager, grounds keeper, starter, marshaller and the rest of the staff take pride in their complex. I would definitely return for another enjoyable round.
I'm amazed you didn't see any gators.I've had to wait while some walk across the fairways.
Cypresswood Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/04/2016We Would Return Despite Conditions
We found the fairways to be fairly brown and dry; however, there has been very little, to no rain in months, in this part of Florida. The greens were in good shape, considering the weather conditions. The course was well laid out and had "character" to it. The marshaller was extremely friendly and did a good job keeping the pace up, although it was not very busy and we felt we had the whole golf course to ourselves with nobody ahead of us and nobody behind, pushing us. We would go back again
Thank you very much for your review. We are in an historic drought, almost 30 inches year to date since June 1st. Once we get some help from mother nature, we will green up in no time. Thanks again for your comments and I hope we see you soon!
Sincerely,
Bob Schade - Owner
Deep Creek Golf Club
Played On 11/19/2014Vaule for the Money
I like Deep Creek as I would like to buy a condo backing onto the golf course. It is a pretty golf course but a lot better value through Golfnow.com @ $30.00 rather than the regular price of $40.00.
I'm sorry that you did not have an enjoyable golf experience at Willowbrook when you last played. Unfortunately when we over seed the golf course to keep the course nice and green all winter long we do have a period of time that we need to keep the course cart path only. If we let the carts in the fairways we will have tire tracks throughout the fairway for the entire winter where the seed would not properly germinate. Also during this period of time we need to keep the course well irrigated to insure proper germination. The winter grass also needs to be well established before you can mow anything, we have mowed the greens and will mow the fairways this week. Overall this golf course will be looking very nice by weeks end.
