The course was in good shape. The pace of play was reasonable (around 4 hours) considering how crowded the course was.

Course in good shape. Greens in good condition, but fast.

This course has 3 nines - Red, White, and Blue. We played Red to White. Very slow pace of play on the first two holes. Then the foursomes in front of us headed for the clubhouse as they completed their 18 holes from a shotgun start. We were alone for the rest of the Red nine moved right around. More golfers on the White course but we moved right along. The greens were in good shape and remarkably fast. I enjoy the links layout - wide open with lots of room for wayward shots.

The course was in good shape despite the lack of rain in the area. Being able to hit the ball straight is a must on many of the holes.

I found the course challenging but I am not a consistent striker of the ball. On nine holes you need to hit the ball over water some of the carries are over 150 yards to clear.

The cost was not much more than a large bucket of balls at the driving range.
The fairways were in reasonable shape, but many of the greens have large bare spots. We played a maximum of two putts on the greens. I thought of it as a good way to practice instead of going to a range.

The course was fun to play. The course is fairly open but some holes are tight and some holes have water coming into play.

It has been dry recently. The greens were in excellent condition. The tees were not in good condition. The fairways varied in their condition. Some fairways were fine while others had very little grass.

Things I noticed about Lake Wales:
- greens in good condition
- wide fairways
- bunkers in good condition
- excellent value

When we showed up for our tee time, there were no golf carts available. We had to wait for groups to come off of 18. The staff did what they could to get carts as quickly as possible. We teed off 40 minutes after our scheduled tee time.

Usually carts are not an issue.
