About
I have been playing over 30 years. I took a few years off from an injury but started again this year and I am playing the best game I ever have. I have joined the GCAM Tour which is what I always wanted. To play competitive golf. It's a whole new world but so much fun. Always looking for someone to play a round with :) I do get into trouble off the tee and second shots but my putting usually makes up for errant shots.

TPC Deere Run
Played On 06/03/2017Love It Always!
Being just 1 of a few select PGA Tour courses for the public to play, this course is amazing and challenging. The ONLY complaint I have the last couple years is the price. It used to be 99 dollars no matter what day or time you play. Now its gone up and changes with the times. Its definitely worth the price but I cant afford to play it as much as I used to anymore. But the staff is awesome and the course is always in great shape anytime of year. I highly recommend this course. The pace of play is always great when I play. When you have 2-3 groups on the first tee, you get concerned of backups. However by the 2nd or 3rd hole, theres usually a hole between groups. Spread out nicely also for those who cant hit it straight all the time. No need to fear hitting into other people. All in all, this is the best course I have ever played and I played it often. The best time I recommend is 2 weeks before the John Deere Classic when all the stands are up. Its so much fun. Have fun and take a lot of photos.

TPC Deere Run
Played On 10/11/2014Absoltely the BEST
This course home of the PGA John Deere Classic is so amazing. The price is so cheap. At 100 dollars that includes 18 holes, range balls and cart. I play this course a few times a year. Especially a week before the JDC every year. there is nothing more fun than playing here when all the grandstands are setup. The course is so worth paying and traveling from Chicago to play. If you get into trouble, it can ruin the rest of your round very quickly. Happens to me most every time. But I dont care because the views, the greens, the fairways, the traps, the elevation changes and the range and everything else is immaculate all the time. Its a VERY tight course with tall trees and tight driving holes with many doglegs. I will recommend this course to anyone in the world and I ALWAYS look forward to getting out there as soon as the course opens. You can play many courses where the PGA plays for hundreds and hundreds of dollars. This for 100 dollars is the best deal I have ever seen and the best course I ever play. I love it. Its very hard for beginners though. You can lose many balls here and very fast with all the trees and OBs and water. The rough is very thick and this course plays very very long if you are not on your game. You have to get out there and play this course :) The Par 3 3rd hole rises from the tee so much you cant hardly see the pin. I vote that the best and toughest par 3 I have ever played. Not the longest hole but one of the best ever. The greens are very smooth and have so much break and speed. They play at tournament speeds at all times. Also tough sand shots with very deep bunkers.
Course #4 Dubsdread at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club
Played On 07/19/2014Waste of money
For the course I shot a 67. I believe the price is so high just because the PGA used to play there. Theres a reason the PGA pulled out and was explained to me by a employee there. Mostly because of the sand traps. For 155 dollars with cart and range balls, its a waste. I play TPC Deere Run for 99 dollars same deal. 18 holes, cart and range balls and its a MUCH nicer course and maintained better. Dubsdread was not very challenging and I wouldnt waste the money again. I can spent the extra 50 to drive to TPC Deere Run in Silvis,IL and have the time of my life.

I played this course for a second time. I shot a 79 from the black tees. The course is not all that difficult if you can hit the fairways. Its a very demanding driving course. If you can hit the fairways the greens are large but they have a lot of breaks in them. Watch out for pin location on number 14. There is a ridge in the center of the green that drops 45 degrees towards the front. Also watch left pin position on 9 on left side. A HUGE drop. Water is front left of 9 green. You cannot see the water or green on approach shot. It doglegs right. Beautiful course and smooth greens and fairways. This course has it all from sand and forced to make accurate shots.

I am preparing for the GCAM Tour season and decided to play this as my last course of the season. With the handicap system I played the blue tees (pro tees.) Accuracy is a must as there are a lot a hills and sand traps. Houses and water are in play on quite a few holes. Watch the wind though as this course is an open course with little amount of trees. It was blowing around 30mph when I played. Knowing how to shape a shot into play is very helpful. Fast rolling greens which are difficult to read which makes this course one of the top if not the top hardest course I played in 30 years. I played Dubsdread and this course was a lot tougher than Cog Hill. A WONDERFUL course to play especially for the value. Highly recommend trying out this course.
