I have been playing highlands for the past 12 years during my 3 week summer holiday from the uk.
The staff are superb and make you feel most welcome and nothing is a bother for them.
The course is always in good condition and well done to the green keepers for keeping the course in such a good condition despite the extreme summer conditions in Central Florida.
This is not your usual Florida course with water surrounding fairways and greens and the tee positions make it a good test for both experienced and new player learning the game.
A must play course if you are in this area.

This is one of the best courses in Florida. Unfortunately, on the day we played all of the greens were covered entirely with sand and this is why I had to mark it low. Apart from this excellent course.
As for value for money one of my pet hates about Florida golf is that they have different rates. One for residents and the other for outsiders. This is an unfair policy as l believe golf is for everyone and you should not have to pay almost 40% extra because you are not a Florida resident.
That is my gripe over. This is a must play course for golfers and l will always play it again on my next visit.

Staff are great and really helpful. The guy in the pro shop in particular was brilliant giving us helpful advice on hidden hazards.
This was the first time I have played the course and it certainty has a great track. Unfortunately! The course was not at it's best and needs quite a bit of work to bring the course up to a proper standard. I will return to play this course next year as l found it to be enjoyable and as mentioned before l likes the track. (Lovely setting)
We also had lunch at the course and the food was excellent as was the service.

As mentioned above tight from some tees and lots of water hazards to contend with. Enjoyable round.
