The Pointe Golf Club
Played On 06/20/2023Well worth it
Beautiful well groomed tees fairways, and smooth true mildly slower greens. Fairly open forgiving course. Great grass driving range, and putting green, putts like the on-course greens. At age 71, I played the 5900 yard blue tees (back gold tees are 6200 yards), 9 hcp. Pace of play is average, lots of players, popular course. Great friendly professional staff from pro shop, starters, to electric cart associates, who bring the carts to your vehicle, plus later a very helpful staff member (Evan Foster, now on NC State golf team). Will definitely return when next we visit OBX.

Hilton Head National Golf Club
Played On 01/31/2021Highly recommended
Excellent conditions tees through greens, especially the smooth true fairly fast greens. The course is quite wide open and forgiving, in part because the areas under the trees are very well blown clear of leaves. This was helpful to those of us who pulled or sliced tee balls a little more often than we would have hoped to. Lastly, they are very friendly, helpful, and professional. I was absent-minded enough to leave my lob wedge on # 14, but couldn't recall when I had last played it (rarely used), so one of the staff drove the last several holes until he found it on # 14. What a great guy, and staff!

Par Three at Jackson Park Golf Course
Played On 05/29/2018Excellent value Friendly Staff
First time to play this course. Hcp 9. Very professional friendly helpful staff, Will in particular. Lush tees and fairways. Greens run true, on the slow side, only a few bare spots. Course layout attractive, wooded, generally forgiving. A great covered range. An excellent value for the low price. Plan to play a second time.
GlenRiddle Golf Club - War Admiral Course
Played On 07/11/2015Love War Admiral
I played this course in a half drizzle 7-11-15. The course is beautifully laid out and challenging. I'm a 5 handicap and shot 81 from the blue tees.Tees fairways and greens all in good shape.Electric carts with excellent GPS to all hazards and pins. As a single they sent me off # 1 alone because the member I was paired with cancelled due to rain. Finishing up # 9, I had caught up with 3 4somes. Amazingly,a ranger took me around them to where it was all clear sailing, and I played the skipped holes after # 18. I cannot say enough about this unprecedented level of customer concern, put into action. Baywood Greens comes very close though. Every July or August for many years, our extended family takes a Bethany Beach vacation, but I'm the only golfer so far, and so have played every worthwhile course within 35 miles, usually very early in am, preferably joining in with a member(s) for local knowledge when new to the course or when too long ago. I would very highly recommend this course to players who can hit it straight and of average length.
Old Corkscrew Golf Club
Played On 03/07/2015Visually stunning Audubon course
Each hole uniquely beautiful, very wide causeway cart paths, no houses. Attractive clubhouse and amenities, responsive friendly staff, grass driving range with gratis range ball bushels, representative fast true putting green, electric carts with top of the line touch screen zoom-in Visage GPS, Several fairways slope to invisible water, so best to play with members such as the wonderful couple Susie and Fred with whom we were paired. Very well maintained tees, fairways, and greens. Will definitely play there when in the area again.
Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Mustang Course
Played On 03/06/2015Good course
Good public crowded course. Somewhat friendly bag persons, much better after $5 tip coming and leaving. Very friendly starter Chuck. Good conditions, faster greens rolled true. Lots of housing. Nice clubhouse with Sam Snead's 42 hole in one golf balls and other framed memorabilia.
Beautiful wildlife course
Friendly staff. Well manicured course, grass range - balls provided, plus 2 sleeves Titleist Velocity balls given at check-in plus course book. Electric carts with pin position card. Fairly open, slower greens. Well marshalled course. Water in play 9/18 holes. Greens are crowned, with waste areas or impenetrable forest just feet away causing lost balls every time, so play short and away from the edges!! You'll be grateful for knowing that. No bunkers, but vast waste areas coated with ground up fine shallow seashells and pebble. Easy to hit from, but rough on club soles. True greens, a little slow. In this area, only this course and Old Corkscrew (an even more pristine course) have no visible housing. Teetime in 4some 8am. Finished in 4 hours.
Thank you for the great review! We are so glad we met your expectations. We hope to see you back soon.
