I thought I would give the course a second chance, but repeat of last time - when I went to check in I was told they were running 1/2 hour late. Didn't care to pay when I knew the chance of finishing my round before dark would be virtually impossible. At least this time they didn't try to blame it on a non-existent frost delay. Good thing I didn't play. I did hang around to hit range balls and my tee time ended up being closer to 40 minutes late.
Course continues to book times close together but won't be responsible enough to keep on schedule. What's the use of having a tee time if you never get to tee off at that time.

Course is in good shape, but greens are starting to get a little worn in places.

Had a 10:37 tee time, but when we arrived for our time we were informed they were 10-20 minutes late due to frost delay. Didn't tee off until 11:05.
No way possible there was a frost delay. Dew point that day was way below freezing and the temperature never got down to freezing. I live not much more than a mile from the course and not the slightest sign of frost.
When we were teeing off the marshal drove by and told us there was a backup of five groups on the second hole due to 'the delay and also the extra people'.
So there was the true reason for the delay. Course put out extra people who didn't have tee times. I can understand a course wanting to make the most of the winter season, but it shouldn't be to the detriment of players who make reservations. And they definitely shouldn't lie about why there is a delay.
Note: my golf partner booked the tee time so if this site doesn't say this is a confirmed review that is why.

Played in group with EdzAddiction (see previous review). Had 1pm tee time and when I got there at 12:45 I was told crew was waiting to start overseed process and needed us to tee off ASAP. So why had the let us book a 1pm tee time (booked three days in advance so if they had planned on overseeding they shouldn't have allowed bookings).
Even though we did tee off almost 15 minutes early, crew had already started mowing down first green and had removed flagstick. Refused to get off the green so that we could play the hole.
Can't stand completely poorly managed course.

Other than the sand traps the course was in great condition. Would have rated the course higher, but for some reason they didn't have enough carts - afternoon tee times had to wait for earlier players to finish so carts would be available. How does a course not have enough golf carts?
To make matters worse the starter provided no information at all. I told the starter my tee time and all he said was 'ok'. No indication they were running late and when I might tee off. Asked a couple that was waiting when their tee time was and they said 1pm, which was the same as my time. They said they should be up next because 12:52 just went off. Starter sent them off with another twosome - not me. When I asked starter he said I was going next. I said 'so not with the other 1pm' and he ignored me and walked away. Didn't tee off until close to 1:15. If I hadn't been able to finish my round I would have been extremely upset.

Course was in great shape. Unfortunately my round was ruined by incompetent staff. Left bag at bag drop and went in to check in. They asked if I was checking in for both, which I thought was strange because my playing partner always gets to the course before me (turns out he had checked in already, but didn't find that out until later). Checked-in and went out to find my bag. My bag not among all the bags on line of carts. Had to walk all the way back around to the bag drop to ask where my bag was. They said 'at the range - didn't they tell you inside?'. No offer to drive me to the range. So I walk all the way back around and out to the range (which is way past the putting green - and I like to putt first when warming up). Now I've lost most of my warmup time and have to rush through hitting a few balls (first instead of putting because I want to make sure I get that in) and get 3 putts in just to check green speed (practice green was way faster than course greens so that was a waste anyway). Of course my first hole was the worst of the day - rushed and not a proper warmup.

I doubt I'll be playing Apache Creek again. A shame because the course was in pretty good condition. If only the management of the course wasn't so terrible.
Had 1pm tee time - should be no problem to finish round. When I get there I'm told they're running about 20min late. Actually started closer to 1/2hr late.
No apology, no explanation. Why running late when weather is perfect? Must be trying to cram as many players in as possible. Had a fivesome in front of us and saw another fivesome during round. What happens when you do this? Pace of play is terrible. Front nine took 2-1/2hrs. If you're going to pack the course at least monitor the pace of play. Was going to complain at the turn, but only 4pm and pro shop already closed.
