Franklin Canyon Golf Course
Played On 02/25/2024Goat track..
Franklin is pretty bad these days. Sure, we’re only a few days removed from rain storms, but honestly the course shouldn’t even be open. It’s a slop fest everywhere, balls plug in the fairway, they can’t mow, so there’s little white flowers all over that look like golf balls… (makes trying to find your ball a nightmare) oh, and the fairways play like 2.5” rough. Carts are path only (which is a pain on a course where the path is almost always on the side of each hole you play away from). Buddy and I played here on a gift card I won in the West Am. Card is worth $120… pro shop old timer tells me $110…was literally written on the card “$120”… just a bad look all around at Franklin Canyon. And, don’t get me started on their food pricing… $20 Philly Cheese steak… yeah no. Suggest not playing here till maybe summer months, place is in the middle of no where and just lame.
Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Oak Glen

Course was in great shape. A great walk as well. If you're an avid golfer suggest playing around 2pm, and maybe consider playing your front nine twice. You can get some quality time alone working on your game, Sycuan is great for that. Docked a star cause pace of play can be hit or miss here, literally got paired with a elderly guy who needed 2 drives and a 3 wood to reach a 400 yard par 4, and still came up short. If you have your own foursome this is a hot spot for a fun round.
Goat Hill Park
Played On 03/04/2016Fun and Challenging
Goat Hill has had some renovations as of late, and the course layout is quite fun. There are still areas that are barren wasteland, which if you ask me just need to be bulldozed and flattened, which would assist the overall appearance of the course. If you take each hole for what its worth, and don't come out with a "drive every hole" mentality, you'll be rewarded with a round of golf that tests every club in your bag. Goat Hill is a great course to get your swings in, and enjoy a nice walk in the park. Highly suggest walkers only at Goat...you don't need a cart, and it's my belief that John Ashworth's vision for "The Goat" is one of a purist nature. Hoof it bro...
Awesome! Thank you so much for playing at Goat Hill Park and for having fun out here. We are so glad you enjoyed your round and found it relatively challenging. We'll pass the compliment to John himself. Have a great day!
