Great Course

Played both courses, Panther twice and Cat once. Cat is more of a links style look; less tree lined than Panther. Playing the wrong tee box will make for a long day at Cat. If you are not a big hitter, playing the orange or black tees is a mistake. Wind and soft fairways will leave you with long second shots in. Play the green or white tees and enjoy your round. Conditions are excellent. Plenty of room to bail out on most holes. Lack of visual trouble off the tee can get you complacent. Orange County National is a top notch facility for pure golfers.

Hi vtgc2000, Thank you for providing feedback on both courses! We like the advice to play it up, especially when it comes to enjoying the round. We're happy to be a "top notch facility" in the eyes of our golfers. See you soon! Best, Orange County National

Great Resort Course

Course was in excellent shape, not crowded, and staff were great. Played from the blue tees which felt longer than the advertised 6657 yards. Lots of sand and water. Hard and fast greens; putt true but tough to hold long irons. Typical resort course views of tall hotel skyline. Course was very green from overseeding. Nice GPS system on carts.

Everything It is Advertised to Be

Course is out of the way from the rest of the Orlando courses. Elevation changes not typical of most Florida golf. Lots of up hill and down hill lies. Very mature course in very good condition. Feels a little more like Palm Springs, CA than Orlando. Well worth the drive, but plan ahead for its isolated location for traffic and hotel. Don't miss this one.

Tale of Two Nines

Fairly new facility adjacent to the long established Championsgate Resort. Conditions were very good. The front nine is isolated and abuts orange fields and one of the resort courses. The back nine however is surrounded by housing on every hole. Because of this the front and back nine feel completely different even though the overall design of the course mostly carries over. I played on a windy day, which made the open front nine more difficult. Nice practice facilities. No fancy clubhouse, just a mobile office. You won't be disappointed by the conditions.
