Buffalo Creek Golf Course
Played On 01/07/2023A bit chaotic
From not having carts to a "5-some" playing in front of us , to teeing off over 40 minutes late, to 2.5 hours to play 9 holes....it was disappointing.

Nice course, good shape, and slow greens, but the waiting was ridiculous, teed off 40 minutes after the scheduled time, then it took 2:40 hours to play nine holes!
Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course
Played On 09/06/2015I'd absolutely come back!
Love the Frank Sinatra music playing as we drove up.
Facility was a bit old fashioned, and there were no options for food for breakfast. No place to get a drink after, but Palm Springs is about 15 minutes away with great restaurants and bars.
Course was in great shape especially for 100 plus degrees out. There are no trees so no shade at all. Tee boxes, fairways as well as greens were all maintained well.
Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort
Played On 09/04/2015Great spot!
Course was in really good shape....greens had recently been aerated, and they're a little sandy but overall in good shape. The tee boxes the grass was a little long.
The starters were friendly.
Pace of play was a little slow, almost 4.5 hours.
Overall good value for $50.00.
Disney's Magnolia Golf Course
Played On 02/01/2015Not the Happiest place on earth
Milo was the only happy guy there! Staff really wasn't pleasant....course play was very slow...not in great shape...you could tell it's "beat up"...
Not even a good value for the $75.00 golf now price
Country Club of Miami - West
Played On 02/02/2014Okay if there's no where else to play
Nice people, friendly atmosphere....driving range is pretty bad. Course really isn't in good shape. Pace of play was pretty slow the rangers were non existent.
Old Orchard Country Club
Played On 05/09/2013Nice Improvements
This place was awful last year, lots of work went into it and it's like a different course. Fairways were terrific....tee boxes do need some work. Greens were really slow since it appears they're really focusing on maintenance of them. Golf now rates were much better than in person......staff is not friendly at all....but so what. Not a good hang out place after the round but many nice spots in the area for a beer.

Cart path only come on! Another Williamsburg golf course that reseeded so it's a long day with having to drive on the cart path. Golden Horseshoe was the same. (Although golden horseshoe was in great shape)
Tee boxes and greens had weeds and bare spots allover. Lots and lots of blind shots. Pretty scenery!
Colonial Heritage Club
Played On 10/23/2012Amazing Shape
Course was in terrific shape. People were friendly. Lots of blind shots, tough course.
Williamsburg National Golf Club - Jamestown Course
Played On 10/21/2012Grumpy and Grumpier
First for those looking about golf only, the course was in okay shape, not awful certainly not great. And even being offered a second round for half price I'm still not going back.
The pro shop was scarce to say the least, I love to make purchases at golf shops and there was nothing to buy. A few clubs, but no clothes, no gadgets, no nice golf towels or even ball markers.
When I went outside to find the starter one man (notice I don't use the word gentleman) looked up from something he was reading and said "see him, I'm not the starter" so I saw "him" , later named by my group as the grumpiest man in Williamsburg. He said I know you're here now I'll find you later. Range balls looked like they were ran over with a lawn mower, seriously chunks were taken out of some of them. When we finally went out he gave us directions to the first tee, and he had been having his somewhat less that grumpy partner escorting all the other groups out.
We were behind 2 threesomes who were S L O W. No cart person or ranger was to be found on the front 9. On about eh 14 hole a ranger came up to us and said you have to pick up the pace. We would have loved to, if the people in front of us would have moved. he was not professional at all and said oh, I'll check when we told him it was the groups in front of us. At the end of our round he wanted to clean our clubs, we told him we had plenty of time to clean our own since we waited on every shot. He did tell us that the groups in front of us were the problem, perhaps he should have checked that out first.
Magnet,
Thank you for playing Cimarron! We appreciate the nice comments. During the summer, we don't open the restaurant. Come back and visit us during the season, our bar and grill will be open for you to enjoy.
We'll see you soon!
