Solid Choice

First off, only played the front nine. Court was inundated with rain and grounds crew could only get front nine ready. But, course staff informed us, discounted price, and went out if their way to accommodate us.

This course is a great value for the price. GPS and excellent greens (slow because of rain and couldn’t mow) made the day great.

I can’t wait to play it all. Definitely a course I want to play again.

Fun Course

Great experience for two couples playing this course for the first time. Greens were excellent and overall course was in good condition. GPS system was excellent, as well. Very informative and presented information germane to the hole we were playing ( blind spots, hazards, etc.).
The variety of tees made the course fair and fun for the wide variety of skill and experience in our group-not the case for many courses.
This course is well maintained and not too tough for high handicappers, yet challenging enough from the back tees for the more skilled players.

Warning!

This is a beautiful, fun course for players of any ability. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The shop is rustic. I only paid $10 to play, including cart.

The fact is the greens are between horrible and non-existant. There are huge bare spots, areas that are thin, and areas of common burmuda grass( think of a poorly maintained front yard) making it next to impossible to enjoy your round.

We gave 10-footers and played automatic two- putts just to finish.

Do not pay to play here until you check out the greens.

Honestly, I'd drive to at it again...if the greens were merely awful.

Fun place...

My wife and I were traveling and wanted a place to play while driving through the area. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a course as nice as this available on a nice spring Saturday. The price was right, and the course was great fun. The golf course is challenging from the back tees without being overpowering. Its not a long course, but there are several holes which feature forced lay-ups. Plus, it was fair and enjoyable from the ladies tees. The only negative ( and its a minor one) is that you really need some local knowledge to understand what is ahead of you on three or four holes. The diagrams on the scorecard are not detailed and, unless you have played here before, there are some surprises awaiting you when you arrive at your tee shot.
The course was in great shape and very well maintained. The staff was very accommodating and the clubhouse/pro-shop was clean and well stocked. All in all, a very good experience. Only one complaint. It would have been nice to know before we drove out that the greens were aerated and topped earlier in the week. Still, very glad we made the drive and we will be back.
