Unbelievably SLOW play

Booked a tee time for myself and my cousin. We teed off at 11:40 am and had to wait on EVERY hole. We were informed that there was a tournament that morning, and that there were no problems. WRONG!! The tournament took a lot longer than expected and the course was overbooked. It was 100 degrees and we waited every shot. The foursome in front of us were playing tees that they had NO business playing. The marshal told us that things were getting better and that play was speeding up. WRONG AGAIN!!! When we made the turn, we encountered two foursomes waiting to tee off. This was a little after THREE HOURS!!! We expressed our disappointment to the marshal and requested a refund of half the green fees. He spoke to the pro shop and we were informed that we would have to speak to Golf Now about the refund. Golf Now called the pro shop and the rep at Golf Now credited my account with half of the green free charges. They were great! In my opinion, the management of this course acted in a greedy way by overbooking on the day of a tournament. It will be a very long time before I ever play there again!

Very dissatisfied

I had not played the course in a couple of years since I moved from the area and was very surprised on how this once beautiful course has fallen into such terrible shape. Tee boxes were very uneven, with mostly plugged dirt, very little grass and many divots. Fairways and greens were recovering from aeration. Greens were very bumpy, extremely fast and the greenskeeper must have had a bad night before he chose the pin placements for that day. Some of the placements were downright unfair!. The rough along the immediate fairways had not been mowed in quite some time, so if you were just barely off of the fairway, you could have a rough time finding your ball since the grass was about five inches tall. To my dismay, there were even some of the sand traps with weeds three feet high growing in them. Sand was non-ecsistant and most of them were consisting of a dark, hard-packed soil. Do yourself a favor, save your money and look nearby for a better deal elsewhere in the area. I won't be back until I see conditions here greatly improve. I rated this course extremely difficult solely due to the conditions of the course and not the layout. Note: to their credit, they had many groundskeepers working this day and hopefully this is a sign that conditions here will improve in the future.

Tight fairways and tough greens

What this course lacks in distance (white tees) it more than makes up for it with tight, tree-lined fairways and fast undulating greens. Accuracy is a must as well as having a good putting game. Pin placement on the signature par-3 11th hole can make this one heck of a tough hole. Staff is always friendly and the patio deck is a great place to have a snack and a cold beer after the round. This is a "must play" coourse while in the Bend area.
