We take an annual trip to Myrtle Beach every year in Feb. We typically play one course in NC on our way home. The last 2 years we played Tobacco Road. We are huge fans of Mike Strantz and decided to give Tot Hill Farm a shot for $25. That was the best $25 I ever spent. Most visually stunning course I've ever played. Greens were fantastic considering 1 1/2 inches of rain fell the night before. If you've never played it, please do. You won't regret it!

The layout of the course is good. Greens are very slow. The staff however were not very friendly. After nine holes and being in the hot sun, we decided to pull over for 2 seconds to just fill our cups of ice water. Before I even finished filling my cup, the starter on the loud speaker called us to the 10th tee. Couldn't even stop to use the restroom let alone grab a dog at the turn. Pretty rude. Didn't really get the chance to use the off course facilities because we really didn't get the chance.

Not sure if I would return. Definitely not in prime season when the greens fees sky rocket. The course and the staff there just really aren't that good.

Didn't help they paired us with the rudest twosome of all time. To be honest, I rarely complain about people or courses but I felt the need to in this case.

If all you care about is a decent course design, by all means have at it and good luck.

The course was in great shape for early spring. Greens were still a little shaggy but fairways were were great. Pace of play was awful for this time of year though, almost 5 1/2 hours. Drove up from Columbus so luckily we were not in a big hurry on the most beautiful day of the year thus far. Good value for this time of year. Hopefully when the rates go up, the pace of play will pick up. 5 1/2 rounds of golf will put you out of business quickly when you start charging $70.
