Royal Palms Golf Course
Played On 06/08/2015Ball eater!
I love this course for its fully grown trees, it's well tended lawns and it's "cool in the city feel". But my slice and the slopes put me in the water on a few holes. Bring extra balls because the grades are deceptive and fairways narrow.
You can easily play this a few times a day for redemption.
Paradise Valley Golf Course
Played On 06/05/2015kinda rough
Golf now had a deal for $15 per player with cart for an 18. I don't know if I'd pay that again if it hadn't been my teen son's second time out on an 18.
In defense of the course, we were playing after a rainstorm the morning of play and it did call for scattered showers.
That being said, a knee high weed forest was my out on the left on 3rd? We couldn't find second because there was no signage and had a group of toddlers in front of us. Really. The 3 To 5 Yo group with daddy.
We pulled over and let a few sets pass because I'm not nailing a kid in the head.
On signage, I don't know if they have been recently vandalized or it the signs fell down, I just know it was annoying to have to keep checking markers after that. A course should be clearly marked.
The game picked up after that but only because we were in the mood to play.
Overall- worst course I've played yet. And the guy in the clubhouse was grumpy and weird.
On the plus side- a single who caught us and played though with us said you can bring coolers of beer in. So next time I'll leave my kid at home and get drunk.
