Tangle Ridge Golf Club
Played On 04/28/2017Sanded Greens & Aeration
Love this course and the almost solitude of each hole. Since a duffer, the fact that greens were heavily sanded and much of the fairway areas being aerated did not really hinder MY "play" much. But... still agravating to pay for pristine conditions and not be advised in advance of booking that course was under repair. There was zero way to expect a putt longer than 5 feet to get close except by pure chance! Even shorter ones were not certain to fall! And the ball could bounce any direction when hitting those aeration clods! My capable tee time sharers' games were definitely direly affected, which spoiled overall enjoyment of an otherwise nice course and day. Please advise conditions in ADVANCE!!
Mansfield National Golf Club
Played On 01/31/2017Good value but where was marshal?
For winter play, greens in top notch condition. Fairway grass non-existent but that sure helped the ball roll. Sometimes even right off fairway slopes to get lost in the rough! And dry remnents of cut grass swirled all over us & gear in cart. Foursome ahead had 3 carts but failed to maintain pace without practicing etiquette of picking up errant putts or offering playthru to our two-some. Consequently backed up foursomes behind us as well. However inside clubhouse was nice and staff including cart girl all extremely cordial. Course generally has better fairway conditions than present in this round. Will play there again when grass comes back.
Hills at Pecan Valley Municipal Golf Course

Fun & challenging. Should rename "Hills" course to "Lakes"!!! Think as many or more water crossings in play than hills.
Riverchase Golf Club
Played On 9/4/2013Play was quick but should have provided wet towels on hot day.
The course, including greens, was in very good condition given the hot, dry Texas summer. Play was relatively quick which was a plus on the very hot afternoon played. However, while there was adequate cold water on the course, there were no iced towels provided. This should have been a no-brainer if you are expecting people to play in the heat of the day. Could have made the round much more enjoyable on this very hot afternoon.
Whitestone Golf Course
Played On 12/21/2012Course is in good contion for this time of year BUT sand traps need SAND or s/b marked unplayable.
#10 is very challenging and the course at large is full of obstacles for the errant shot - - so keep it in the fairways. Big hitters can get across on #9 if they keeo it straight between the trees, but better to hit into safe area on the right to be sure to get to green in two rather than have to take a drop. Fun course but many traps are a joke with rocks and dirt. BRING IN SAND PLEASE!

with a special tee-time rate this was a great value, but not superb.
