Settler's Hill Golf Course
Played On 09/06/2017Excitement from every tee box
The course isn't the greatest in condition, but what it lacks in plush carpeting, it makes up for in the uniqueness of the layout. No two holes are the same, and you get a plethora of different looks from tee boxes. The first hole is a gold mine of lost balls if you you're willing to sniff around. Trust me, I haven't paid for a ball since 'nam. The greens are quite challenging, with many hidden idulations. "Sand" in the bunkers could use replacing (hint hint settlers hill) but overall a very fun course for the money you pay. All the par three's have a decent amount of elevation change, and the par 5's make you use your noodle, and I don't mean the golf ball brand. Recommend this course all day everyday.
Bowes Creek Country Club

What a day. Rain held off for us thankfully and it turned into a beautiful evening of golf. The pace was fantastic for the amount of groups out in front of us, we were a twosome behind a few foursomes, we took our time but were rarely waiting to hit. It was a challenging course that made you think about your shots, and hot critical bunker placement that collected errant shots. My buddy had a few nice shots out of the bunkers and fescue grass around them. I managed to stay out of them for the day. Greens rolled well for the most part, but some had quite a few ball marks. Golf etiquette people, super simple stuff. The tee boxes could have used a little TLC as well. But overall was a great course in good condition, really fun and interesting layout.
