Yocha Dehe Golf Club at Cache Creek Casino Resort
Played On 09/01/2017This course needs a little care.
This course is intelligently layout, from the restaurant back yard down to the stairs around the corner up the hills top leads to the first hole. where you tee off from a highest point with a spectacular landscaping view of the vineyard and the water creeks Taylor's into the pathway. Although it was 110 degrees when I played but the breezes cool it off. The fairway is wide open impossible to miss. The only thing that is not holding The theme together is the grass. The grass looks like a birthday' s cake left in the rain. The putting green area is so smoothly done that the ball never has a chance to sink. Other than that this place is a haven for the golfers.

This course is a challenger for beginners especially the terrain, slope and hills. The fair way is very long but beautiful, water ponds are everywhere. Some of the players were having difficulty finding the hole and because of the terrain and high slope creates frustration. A lot of Players were wondering around looking for their balls. Before going here I suggest you needs to drink a lot of sugars to make you laugh, otherwise you're going to ruin others people's game.

This course is a little challenge for the beginner especially the 7th hole has a pond in the middle, a little missed calculation can end up swim for the ball. The 9th hole also have a pond and a longer fairway so a little bit unusual compared to the surrounding courses, the fairway is spectacular. Every hole is a challenger, the tall giant electrical pole blocking the fairway giving only a small amount of space to pass thru. You'd get a sense of nervous when tee off the first hole after that it'll take you to a second hole up the hill. Then into the third hole is a little privacy area surrounding by the tall redwood tree. The best time to play here in the summer is early morning or evening.
This is a "Links" style course so sooner or later you'll likely see someone playing a neighboring hole off your fairway. I disagree that fairways are long. You can mishit a shot but recover for a chance at par.
