About
I dropped playing golf off my list back in September 2001 only to pick it back up in October 2012. I am one of those guys that wants to do the best that I can and still remain light hearted. You wont see me throw a club or cuss over a bad shot. I travel a lot for work so when I can I bring my clubs. Almost every military base maintains a decent course at good prices so I use them or play away courses from Cannongate.

Pinehills at Myrtlewood Golf Club
Played On 10/30/2013Wet One
The course was extremely wet from over watering which led to some pick, clean, and place situations. Along with the wetness in the fairways and around the greens the sand traps were too wet. Most sand traps would have been more pleasant if they had been machine raked before play. I suggest any player to grab a journal from the pro shop for $4. I prodominetly hit a slight right to left draw which helped me avoid the water hazards but the folks I played with either sliced from severe to moderately and they found water hazards that stretched nearly to the right center of the fairway. The staff had a great commitment to service. I will be back!
Cotton Fields Golf Club, The
Played On 4/02/2013Great down home feeling
Although the feeling about booking on Golfnow was not well received by the pro shop the general customer service was good. This was my second booking through Golfnow and out of the two times it has been less than helpful to use. The course was OK. The fairways were average and the greens were just a little better than average. Mr Ford does a wonderful job at making the pace of play move along and he is a wonderful Christian. One great thing is that the leaves are almost all mowed or removed. I played with a newbie so being able to find his ball was helpful.
