Value and View

Whether local or tourist, Chimera is one track you should play again and again. Course conditions: excellent. Layout: nice track. Views: red mountains, long shadows, elevated tees frame the iconic structures of the Strip tip to tip. Played one of my best rounds. The value is only beat by the views.

Gorgeous

Plays friendly yet holds challenges and is a beautiful place to start the day. Pro shop is courteous and efficient. Bag service above average. Play here in the low season for the best value in the desert.

Urban Gem

Lovely views on the back nine overcome the street noise and clutter on the front. Wide fairways, generous first cut, trees are limbed up. Not well marked for standard yardage, distance numbers on sprinklers are few and far between. If you don't stop at Ringside Grill after your round you will miss the point of playing this course.

Ball Eater

Starting at 630 am found the greens littered with debris and the fairways soaking wet. The course is a lowland cow path. Little grooming has gone into the development of the tight fairways and punishing rough. The weed bowl eats the balls inches off the first cut. But the worst part of the morning was the attitude of the desk at check in. That kid might have been a player once but stuck inside his arrogance is unbecoming to the game. He argued with me about my prepaid registration through golf now. I will not be returning to Camas.
