We’d played this course earlier in the year and liked it then. Recent poor reviews put us off slightly but we went with 2 friends. All the tees had been over seeded and were growing well with no weeds.Fairways were well defined and welled grassed., wet in areas but expected in view of the recent torrential rain. greens were good although not as fast as we expected. Each hole Is different and needs thought in playing.
Pace was good. Overall a pleasure to play, a real gem.

Great course, great layout, every hole is different and a challenge. Good scores can be made by well placed shots.

Great layout, good test of golf when off right tees for handicap. Good fast greens, though 3 require more work on them. Great friendly staff. Played the course many times over the years, easier now some of the bunkers have been removed, but still has its challenges.

Good course layout and good test of of golf. You can score well if you put the ball wheree needed, but are penalised if too wayward. Greens could be faster, rather “woolly” when played.but the only gripe with the course was that the greens staff took the flags in at 5pm when we started on the 18th and there were players behind us. We had to put a Club in the hole so that we knew where to chip on to the green, other than that, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Great layout, no too holes the same. Good test of golf but too punishing. Greens were a bit slow this time we played but this is unusual for this course. Will play again at least a couple of times during this visit. Friendly staff and members.

We'd read some of the reviews about Metro West and had wondered wether we should play it. We found a great course layout, though you do need a cart; it is definitely not a walking course. It is a shame that the course had been neglected but it is obvious that work is now going on to improve the course, and hopefully to bring it to a great standard. It is only the second course we've come across where there are no tee signs, (the other being Royal Porth Cawl in Wales, UK). The starter informed us of this and gave us detailed information on getting round. Following the cart path took us easily from green to the next tee. Overall we enjoyed the course and hopefully will play again. All the staff were very friendly and course facilities were good.

Played the course earlier this year and it was good then, even better now. There's a degree of difficultly due to the undulations, which adds to the charm of the course. A links type course without the sea!! Will play again soon - Most enjoyable

Course has much improved over last three years and is in good shape. Some lovely holes and all different, 3rd, 11th and 16th holes are especially.

Lovely course with elevated tees and greens. Great views with all different holes, all good. Most enjoyable.

Lovely course, it was a drizzly day when we played, but still very enjoyable. We teed off just before 2pm but didn't get chance to finish due to dull day & going dark early.That said, it is well worth playing this lovely course with all different and some challenging holes.

all 18 holes very different and challenging but if ball placed in position, par scores can be obtained; if putting on form - good greens - great course and staff - a real pleasure to play - keeps you going back
