Albion Ridges Golf Course - The Rock Nine
Played On 04/21/2022Repeat Patron
Enjoyable course. Seems to always be in good shape. Not as easy at it looks but if you putt well, you should be able to score well. Repeat patron. Easy drive out of west metro. Nice pace of play.
Fox Hollow Golf Club

Challenging, fair course. Good condition. Tough par threes. Passive par fives.
Southbrook Golf Club

Enjoyable. Serene. Underrated. Few bunkers. Many lateral penalty areas. Decent conditions, not A1. Value priced. Great staff. Nice bar/restaurant. Repeat patron.

Eagle Creek Golf Club
Played On 05/26/2018Fun Old School Golf Course
You can still get a feel for the old Willmar Golf Club in the layout of Eagle Creek Golf Club. Hitting driver is not required on many holes but also not prohibited. Except for the par threes, you’ll be using a lot of short irons. Course was in good condition, fun to play and green fees were reasonable. Staff was great. Restaurant was busy for after round food and drink.
Albion Ridges Golf Course - The Rock Nine

Good Course/Conditions/Value/Pace of Play/Staff....might be worth your drive to Annandale to escape crowded course conditions elsewhere.
The Club at Starr Pass - Rattler/Coyote
Played On 05/06/2018Tucson Target Golf
Be patient and use the yardage book they give you for hole layouts. A few headscratching tee shots. Good/great condition. Staff and amenities very good. Both frustrating and enjoyable to play!
Preserve Golf Course
Played On 05/05/2018Good Layout/Conditions/Staff/Value
Not a must play- but if you’re in the Saddlebrook area, the Preserve is a good choice. Good but not top notch conditions. Can usually find a discounted tee time. Fun and challenging to play. Excellent views, as well.
The Refuge Golf Club
Played On 10/19/2017Return to The Refuge. 10/19/2017
Challenging, enjoyable, shotmakers course. Not for beginners. Some forced carries. (#9 comes to mind!) Plenty of holes you can score on, though. Not a long course. Picturesque and peaceful. Well maintained. Love playing Refuge when we can make it north suburban location. October, 2017.
Southbrook Golf Club
Played On 10/15/2017Enjoyable Course
Always seem to enjoy playing out at Southbrook GC.
Plenty of holes you can post a good score on but if you're too wayward with your tee shot, you might be adding a few penalty strokes.
Not sure what I think of par 3 third hole where you most likely will have a "blind" shot off the tee...The tall cattails are an interesting defense. It is unique! Back nine is especially fun to play.
Greens could use some TLC but they are fine and fitting for the Southbrook GC experience.
Staff has always been great. Very welcoming. Good after round food and drink, as well.

Verde River Golf & Social Club
Played On 05/02/2017Not as Good as Shape as 2015
Played previously in May, 2015 and enjoyed round at Verde River and the conditions were excellent. Played again in May, 2017 and was not impressed. A lot of dead grass in spots....Greens and fairways. Made for a disappointing day. Guess that tells you how important conditions are. Staff and service were great. Layout of course is fine. Not too difficult. Not too long. Plenty of room for error.Greens rolled well- quick, actually. Hopefully, conditions improve in near future. Would play again, if we are assured that they have...
South at Boulders Golf Club & Resort
Played On 05/01/2017Excellent Conditions/Greens
Classic target golf in AZ. Overall conditions were excellent. Greens were rolling at 11 which were quicker than most we played during AZ golf weekend of early May 2017. Treated well. Could definitely tell it is a members facility that alternates the course that is open to high green fee public play. Nice layout. plenty of room for error but again...target golf with a lot of carries over desert. Fun par threes. Excellent boulder views! Would play again...but not at $150-250.
The Refuge Golf Club
Played On 11/16/2016Repeat Player of The Refuge
Always enjoy playing The Refuge. A little tough to get to unless you live in area. A refuge, if you will. Play from the correct tees or course could be too hard, or too easy, for you. There is room for error but you will have a tough time if hitting it too far left or right. Some redundancy in layout but the beautiful surroundings of similar holes makes up for that. Conditions have always been good to very good over the years I've played here. Staff has been great, as well. Worth playing regardless of receiving discounted green fee.
Albion Ridges Golf Course - The Rock Nine

Albion is a perfect place to open the season in MN. It's a decent course that was open, dry, cheap, easy and quick.
Little Crow Country Club - Willows Nine

Southbrook Golf Club
Played On 04/25/2014Great Place to Start the Season
Excellent value and great place to get the rust off your swing. Played in mid April. Not crowded (50 minute drive from west metro). Low green fees. Walker friendly course. Greens were decent.
