Good layout, facilities and pace of play for your dollar.

The whole experience was wonderful but I must admit seeing a pair of coyotes walking the fairways on a few holes and howling was very intimidating. The course was in excellent shape and the pace of play was outstanding. A ranger kept patrolling and kept the play moving. Really a good experience, just wished I played better. Enjoy!

Played yesterday and was very impressed with all the amenities at Orange Tree. The folks in the pro shop were accommodating, the driving range, putting green and chipping area were all in very good condition. Golf course was straight ahead with every green very well bunkered. The winter rough was typical with some areas being very worn. Pace of play was somewhat slow, especially on the par 3s. Would definitely return and the value for your money was excellent.

I very much enjoyed my overall experience at Starfire. Starfire is made up of 3 nine hold courses. I played the Hawk & the King. The course was redesigned a number of years ago by the Arnold Palmer Design Company. The Hawk is a very short & tight course surrounded by Condos. From the blue tees it was only 2950 yards. The King course was wonderful and stretched 3250 years from the Blue Tees. It had typical undulating fairways and greens. It had 2 par 3s from the blue tees that were over 200 yards. The golf staff cart guys were great but the pro in the golf shop wasn't friendly at all. It has a nice facility for breakfast or lunch. The biggest negative was a limited warm up range. You could only hit modified golf balls and they charge you $3 to use this range. Overall you cannot beat the value and even though the place was busy they manage the pace of play really oood.

The golf course overall was extremely disappointing. The fairways were in winter condition, but the rough was just horrible. There was ruts and no winter brown grass. It was like hitting off of under seeded course conditions. I would not recommend for the money we spent.
