Shell Point Golf Club
Played On 03/18/2020A virtual round of golf
My review is based on what I could see from an empty parking lot. The notice on the bag drop said - 3/18/20 Golf operations are closed. Please check our website for further details.
As a GN customer Shell Point would have my email address, they could have let me and other GN customers know the course was shut. It seems to be the only one in the area that is closed.
Hopefully I will get a credit from Golf Now. Looking at the GN web site there is no way, other than this of bringing the problem to GN's attention.
Incidentally the course is shut until 31st March for anyone who was thinking of playing there. http://www.shellpointgolf.com
Cape Royal Golf Club - Queen/King
Played On 03/13/2020A nice layout that is reasonable value for money
This course has 3 nines, we played the Prince and Queens. Fairways are in good shape, the sand in the bunkers has a lot of shell or stones in it. Some of the tee boxes were really beat up, most of the greens are OK but a couple have signs of wear. The weather was great and the pace good, just under four hours for the round. I would play it again but I wouldn't want to pay more than 45$
Heritage Landing Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/11/2020Great new course in very good condition
This is a new golf course and its a great layout for a fun day of golf. The staff were all very helpful but there is no clubhouse, the pro shop and restrooms are temporary buildings but adequate for purpose. The range balls are free, nice touch. The course itself is interesting lots of water but generally wide fairways. Tees and fairways in good shape, greens hard and difficult to hold but running fast and true. I would defiantly play this again.
Palmetto-Pine Country Club
Played On 03/09/2020Palmetto-Pines has improved in the last year
Pace of play was a little slow four and a half hour round but the course is in good shape. Greens were hard and fast. Fairways and tees in good shape. Since I played here last year a lot of things have been tidied up. A lot of rubbish and dense vegetation has been removed or reduced. The course is more open and fair. It’s not any easier! The lady in the pro shop and the starter were very helpful. Good beverage cart. Good value for money, thank you GN.
Huntington Hills Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/06/2020Reasonable course but organisation was appalling
We arrived 45 minutes before our tee time to find total chaos. Eventually we found out that there was a corporate event, with a shotgun start on 13 holes. The golf club had chosen the fill the remaining tee times with visitors and members. We waited at every shot, when we arrived at the tenth the there were four other groups waiting. No doubt GN would say there weren't aware of this but it didn't make for an enjoyable round. The course wasn't in bad shape but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone..
Harmony Golf Preserve
Played On 03/04/2020Great course in really good condition
Can’t fault Harmony Preserve, tees, fairways and greens all in good shape. I played off the forward tees, 6000 yards, it’s tough but a fair golf challenge. I really enjoyed it but found the greens fast and difficult to read. Love to play it again to see if I can get the hang of them!
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands
Played On 03/03/2020Great course with tricky greens
Booked on GN but didn’t realise it was a shotgun start! Worked out pretty well, as a single I was paired with another guy and a Canadian couple. We had a great round but we all struggled reading the greens and getting the pace right. Bunkers were a little thin on sand in places but everything else was fine. Friendly and helpful people in the pro shop. I would definitely play it again.
Deer Island Country Club
Played On 02/28/2020Great course in excellent condition.
It was a cold day but really clear. The course is in great shape, since my last visit a year ago a lot of tidying up has been done and seven bunkers removed, mostly from the front of greens. It’s makes things a little easier but not much, there is still an awful lot of water! Greens, fairways and tees are all in good shape, staff are friendly and welcoming, it’s a pleasure to play and well worth the money.
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating, Raygu3! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Deer Island Country Club!
Rio Pinar Golf
Played On 02/27/2020Great course but really slow play
I loved the course, I was a single playing with two other guys who could hit the ball a long way! Played off the gold tees 6750 yards, I found it challenging but fair. Great layout, Greens, fairways and tees in good order. The pace was awful, at some tees there were four groups waiting to go. There was a PGA competition in front, was the explanation we had, but it was a nice sunny day. I would definitely play it again, great value.
Timacuan Golf Club
Played On 02/25/2020Nice track with some challenging holes
Played off the white tees about 6000yds. Fairways are in good condition and greens running pretty fast and true. A couple of greens had bare patches but it was no big deal. Some challenging holes lots of water and big bunkers. Very enjoyable all round and worth the money.
Thank you for visiting us at Timacuan Golf Club. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Eagle Ridge Golf Club
Played On 03/24/2019Nice track, fast greens and good fairways
Water on 17 holes but it shouldn't come in to play if you hit straight! I lost a couple of balls but overall this is a nice track, good layout and fun to play. Sunday afternoon seemed to be very quiet, 3hours 20 minutes for the round. Staff were all friendly and helpful, I WOULD definitely Come back.
Coral Oaks Golf Course
Played On 03/22/2019Nice track, friendly people.
Really enjoyed playing Coral Oaks. We had a fun round with a couple of guys who lived in CC they were helpful and good to playing partners. The course itself is well laid out, not as much water as on some courses round here but lots of trees. The clue is in the name! All parts of the course are in good shape, couple of the greens had some sandy areas but it didn’t affect play, they were pretty fast and true. For all you guys who worry about long rounds, we were 3h20min even though the course was busy. It’s not the cheapest course in Coral but I would say one of the best.
Cape Royal Golf Club - Queen/King
Played On 03/16/2019Nice track lots of water!
Most tee boxes were showing signs of ware, not surprising with the amount of traffic this time of year, the fairways were good and for the most part pretty wide. The greens were good only one or two with brown patches. Water is on most holes but if you can hit fairways it’s not a problem! Staff were all friendly and helpful it’s a nice course to play and not too difficult. For the price it’s good value for money (in Cape Coral anyway) I would definitely play it again.
Twin Isles Country Club
Played On 03/11/2019Nice course suitable for all golfers
We played here for the first timE and were fortunate to be paired with two members. Ros and Don gave us the hints that can make a big difference to your score when playing a course for the first time. For the most part the fairways are wide, well looked after with lots of bunkers. Water is another hazard but only really comes into play on about four holes. The green were good, I just misread them! Great place to play, good choices of tees to suit all abilities. helpful pro shop and starter. I’ll come back!
Cypress Course at Stonegate Golf Club
Played On 03/09/2019Nice course but some of the greens have bare patches
I enjoyed this course, after the seventh some of the holes are tight and you need to hit the fairways. The course is in good shape apart from a couple of greens but that didn’t reduce our enjoyment. Staff are very friendly and the place seems very well set up. There is a huge restaurant grill area that seems very popular with players and locals. I would definitely come here again.
Thank you very much for taking the time to post this positive review. We look forward to you visiting us again in the future.
Best,

Dubsdread Golf Course
Played On 03/07/2019Great course and fun to play
This is only the second time I’ve played here, the course is not long but its tight. It’s a great layout with some interesting holes. Greens and fairways were good today but the greens are elevated so if you miss them getting up and down can be a challenge. The staff are all friendly and helpful and there are good practice facility. At the price you wont find a better course around Orlando.Definately worth a visit!
Thank you for your review. We are delighted our staff and course met your expectations. Hope to see you again soon.
Zellwood Station & Country Club
Played On 03/03/2019Good seniors course!
The guy in the pro shop made Grumpy look good but the starter and the lady on the refreshment cart were human.
I played of the white tees, 6000yds and found it interesting, not too difficult. My wife was happy to play off the red ladies tee at 4,500 it was challenging enough for her. We played with two local guys who weren’t members (or seniors!) but knew the course, that helped a lot.
It was a fun afternoon and for the price, good value. I’d play it again.
Hi, we are sorry that you didn't have a pleasant experience in our pro shop. We hope that an enjoyable round of golf was what made it a four-star review!
Harmony Golf Preserve
Played On 02/19/2019Great course in good shape
This is a very attractive and enjoyable course to play. Wide fairways that you shouldn’t miss but water can come into play if you do. Greens were good and staff helpful. We had lunch in the champions bar, good food and service. Definatly worth a visit I would play here again.
Southern Hills Plantation
Played On 05/03/2016One of the best courses in this part of Florida
I really enjoyed my round at Southern Hills Plantation. It is a lovely course in very good condition. I found the greens were a little tricky to read. The fairways were in great shape. It is a challenging course but great fun to play, highly recommended.
The members seem to be in their own world, the only course we have played where no one spoke to us or wanted to engage in any way, apart from the staff. That said it is still well worth a visit.
Rolling Oaks at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 05/02/2016One of the best courses in this part of Florida
The course was in excellent shape apart from a couple of greens that had bare patches. It is challenging, I played from the white tees, 6000yds, the shortest men's tee, anything that is off fairway is punished. It's a great layout, different challenge on each hole, water and lots of bunkers. The scenery/wildlife is amazing.
I have played Pines Barren, the other course here and enjoyed that but for me Rolling Oaks has the edge.
Both course are well worth the visit
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review of your time at the course. We're sorry to hear that you found the pace of play slow during your round. We work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and to best control pace allowing everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We are glad to see you also rated the course conditions to be great during your game. Thank you for playing Palmetto-Pine Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.
