Sierra Lakes Golf Club
Played On 07/25/2021Hour drive worth the effort
Nicely contoured course (not boringly flat) with well placed bunkers & water hazards. Greens are smooth and NOT bumpity bumpity, bouncing the ball & killing the speed. Excellent practice facilities and friendly service. BUT I did not see any Marshals on Sunday and we waited on EVERY hole
Summitpointe Golf Course
Played On 02/04/2017Slog Fest
After all the rain unfortunately the course has several unplayable holes on back nine due to excessive water in fairways. #15, 16, & 18. Either tee it up in those fairways or bring a little hitting mat.

Hot Deal round for $21 on a Sunday afternoon, Great Deal. Very playable & Fun layout. Water in play on multiple holes. Given the location...its hot, the course is in good condition...some dried out spots as expected. The greens are in very good condition and fast.
Brentwood Golf Club - Creekside/Hillside Course
Played On 09/18/2016Great Hot Deal
Played on GolfNow hot deal. The rolling terrain with water on many holes is a fun layout. It is good to see that the course has water to keep it in reasonable condition especially considering the warmer climate in Brentwood. But there are areas where excessive watering needs to be adjusted to stop waste or poor drainage needs maintenance (at least rope it off to stop carts & mark it as GUR). Definitely will go back & play again.
Black Horse at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course
Played On 09/22/2014beautiful & challenging
The Blackhorse course is a challenging layout. The greens were in very good condition, rolling true and fast w/ subtle breaks. Tee boxed in good condition and considering we have serious drought conditions the fairways & rough in good shape w/ some atead marked ad GUR. Definitely a place that the skilled golfer will appreciate.
Skywest Golf Course
Played On 11/17/2013decent value but greens need care
paid $35 to ride on a Sunday afternoon (actually I walked) via golfnow.com The course is very flat and easily walkable. I carried my bag vs using push cart. Course was open, no one in front and no one behind our 3some. The only real issue were the greens being shaggy and bumpy. They obviously needed to be mown as grass was so long that putts frequently did not stay online.
Laguna Seca Golf Club
Played On 9/2/2013interesting & fun layout
Haven't played here for a while. Always felt the course design was well done by RTJ Sr & Jr. Course condition was overall good. Even though it was wet in the morning the greens rolled nicely. Plays longer than the 6127 yds due to uphill fairways. The elevation changes & bunkering keep you focused on the optimum club selection. It was a good warm up before our afternoon round at bayonet. Will definitely be back again.
Summitpointe Golf Course
Played On 8/21/2013convenient in Si Valley and greens in good condition
front nine can be challenging due to side hill lies. #8 is tough dogleg left w/ left to right sloping fairway and all up hill. back nine has fewer side hill lies but #12 fairway is tight and sloped left to right w/ a big tree that tends to block shots to the green. #14 & #15 are back to back par 5s that can be reached in two w/ accurate 280 yd drives. Stay to left side of fairway on #13 as pond on right not so visible and on approach pond on left of green so bail to right side. Greens are well maintained
Seascape Golf Club
Played On 4/27/2013this course is one of the most fun places to play
I have played this course many times over the years and i have never gotten tired of playing here. The environment, the layout and level of challenge is just a really enjoyable mix. The course condition this date 4/27 was good overall. the greens as always are one of the challenges, on the speedy side w/ plenty of break. I brought a friend who played for the first time at this course and also agreed "one of the funnest places to play". It was a great deal as we got 25% off including cart and replayed for $15 !
