Wilderness Golf Course
Played On 08/11/2016Fun at the Golf Course
This was the second time I have played since the Memorial Day weekend floods. Overall the team at the course has done a wonderful job recovering from the flood. They are still working on the bunkers; installing new drainage and sand. The greens are in remarkable shape for this time of the year. I recommend that anyone looking for a challenge and fun time play the Wilderness!

My golf buddy and I enjoyed a relaxing round. Though the greens had been recently aerated the were in good condition. We found the course to be very playable and challenging. Can't wait to return!

I was warned by the course prior to my arrival that their greens were in "poor" shape. This is a nice way of saying don't bother. Something has killed almost all of the grass on all of the greens. They are trying to repair some (3) greens, but the rest were painted sand. While the fees were not the highest in the area, I feel they were too much for the conditions. I will not play here again until the greens problem is corrected.

I booked my tee time through Golf Now. I chose this course because I used to live closer to it an played it several times a year. After booking online I received a phone call from the course the same afternoon. The gentleman on the phone was quite pleasant and said he was calling to inform me of the course conditions, specifically the greens. Three of which were currently under repair. The remainder had little grass left. This created a rather interesting round when it came to putting and chipping. All in all it was an enjoyable round. I think that the staff went above and beyond by calling ahead of time to give me the heads up regarding the conditions of the greens. I look forward to playing here again; after they recover the greens.
La Quinta at Quail Valley Golf Course
Played On 04/25/2016Pleasant Surprise
While I was scheduled to play the La Quinta course, when I arrived I was informed that a shotgun start tournament was to tee off immediately ahead of me. When I inquired about playing the other course, the staff were most accommodating in helping make that happen. As I was a single, I was able to tee off immediately and had the course all to myself, which was a very pleasant experience. The course was in great shape despite the recent rain we had. It is designed to be far to all levels of experience. I had a very enjoyable round and will be back!
Yes, Quail Valley is a popular choice for golf events, so we appreciate your flexibility. Come back and play La Quinta soon.

I had read several less than favorable reviews of this course prior to playing here. I am always skeptical of negative reviews and didn't know what to expect. From the moment we stepped out of my truck we were impressed. The clubhouse area was kept in excellent shape, the staff was friendly and helpful. We hit a few balls on the range and arrived a little early at the first tee. The starter was very friendly and we got out a little before our schedule tee time. The pace of play was perfect, the condition of the course was very good. Based on earlier reviews I'd read, I was afraid the greens would be in poor shape. Not so, in fact I thought they were in very good shape considering all of the rain we've had recently. Over all an enjoyable round.
Wilderness Golf Course
Played On 06/15/2014Fathers Day
I scheduled a round for Father's Day early enough to have family time afterwards. Since none of my regular golf buddies were able to play, I went as a single. The Marshall paired my up with a threesome which was fine as on A Sunday singles either have to play through a lot or wait on every hole. The course is in excellent shape, as usual. One thing I did notice was the pace on the greens seemed to vary between holes. Over all it was an enjoyable round. I look forward to my next one.
Pearland Golf Club
Played On 7/28/2013The course is very playable for the average golfer.
I teed off as a single on Sunday afternoon thinking that I would be able to play in about 31/2 hrs. I didn't count on the threesome playing from the tips and everywhere else on the course. When I checked they told me there was not a Marshall on duty so I had no choice but to follow as they never offered to allow me to play through. That not withstanding , the course was in fair shape except for the greens, some of which had bare spots from a fungus and were rather bumpy. For the average guy this is not a bad course to work on their ball striking. I'd go back if the price were right.
Thank you John.We look forward to having you back for another day of fun out here at Quail Valley.
