Primm Valley Golf Club - Lakes Course
Played On 02/24/2023Winter wind and cold
We were pleasantly surprised by the conditions, especially since it's winter and poor conditions are expected. It was in good shape, with lots of grass, and the improvements made over the past year are very obvious. Kudos to the grounds keepers & mgmt staff. The near 100mph winds 2 days earlier had downed over 100 large trees on the course, but they had obviously worked feverishly to clear most of them enough to allow play. Despite the cold, cloudy and windy weather, we really enjoyed the round.

Played On 04/01/2022Needs Work, desperately
I'm not sure if it's a lack of water, caring, maintenance or good seed, but the course never seems to be in good shape. The staff is friendly & outgoing. The starter (Al) is great; easy to talk to, friendly & informative, and doesn't stack up players. But the course is just always a mess. The fairways are either bare, recently aerated, just dirt, or dead yellow hay - no matter when you play. It's hard to hit a clean shot when there's no grass under your ball. The layout provides some great challenging holes. It just needs good grooming & maintenance.
Primm Valley Golf Club - Desert Course
Played On 03/23/2022In sad shape, but still enjoyable
The staff is terrific, and the course is challenging. Sadly, the greens are a disaster, with just little clumps of grass here and there, on a sandy bed. Probably the worst greens I've ever seen; almost impossible to putt on. The T-boxes are okay, and the fairways have a little grass here and there on the Lakes Course. The Desert Course is probably unplayable. The staff is aware of it, and I think they're struggling to bring the course back, but it appears the owners won't put up enough cash to restore the greens and replenish the fairways properly. I'd rather spend more money and play on grass.
Chimera Golf Club
Played On 04/18/2019Beautiful views, well-maintained
The course is challenging & well-maintained. Many holes have spectacular views of the surrounding desert & mountains. They need sand/seed containers on the carts so players can repair divots. They don’t have a marshal during the week to keep the pace of play moving, which could result in a very long round
Thanks for your comment! We're happy to hear you had a nice time and enjoyed our course! Hope to see you again soon!
Boulder City Municipal Golf Course
Played On 02/19/2017Windy & Slow
The course is not in great shape. The greens were not bad, but very fast. The fairways are short-cropped & quite frequently just dirt & dead weeds - but it is winter. The price is good for the course, but there is no ranger, and a slow group can kill the day for everyone behind them. Waiting on every single shot can be tiring, and you get stiff standing in a 25mph cold wind. If they'd put a ranger out once or twice, to ensure good pace by all, it would improve the overall experience greatly.
Los Prados Golf Course
Played On 03/02/2015Good for locals
Good course for local seniors, but quite short. There is no ranger, so we waited 7-10 minutes on each tee for the group in front of us, who had 4 holes open in front of them. By the 7th hike we were already at 95 minutes. There's no concern about pace of play by mgmt I would recommend paying a couple more $ for a par 72 course.
