Played an early round and got paired up with a couple other guys. Great pace since we were the 1st or 2nd group out. Loved the layout with a mix of doglegs, fairway waste areas and water in play on about 6 holes. Greens were painfully slow and playing partner commented it was like putting in the 30s with wood shafts. Upside was the held very well so you could go right at the flag. When the greens improve, this would be a five star for the $.

Had some time to kill before a flight so booked this on a Sunday. Starter did seem to move people along and played with a couple of nice guys. The course isn't much and after playing a few nicer ones (riverwood, river hall, old corkscrew), this was more than a few steps down in terms of quality. Greens are ok, but everything else is below avg. That by itself wasn't too bad but combine that with an incredibly slow pace and wouldn't recommend.

Enjoyed immensely the Donald Ross layout. Very reachable par 5's and long par 3's with challenges keeping the ball in play and penalty areas lurking everywhere. I actually got a $66 hot deal as a single which is a great value for this course. The $155 retail is over priced imho. Was paired with another single and we had a great time together. Pace was pretty slow but not unexpected for a beautiful Sunday afternoon in late Nov.

A quientisential Donald Ross design that is relatively short, tight, but very challenging with emphasis on the approach shot and skill around the green. Took me 9 holes to better figure out the course and would love to play it again. Did score an $88 hot deal on a Tues. Am while visiting Asheville and this is good value. $130 is steep for this course. Pace was good and finished in 3 hrs. Had another single behind that I let through since he was playing the whites (5200 yards) and pushing me. I wanted to take my time and enjoy trying to figure out the breaks on the undulating greens.

I came out as a single and got paired up with another gentleman for a 1:30 tee time on a Tues. Pace was good and they were setting up the course for a BW3 5K charity run as we made the turn. Playing music throughout the course (didn't bother me at all) and staff was friendly but the course is the real star. The greens rolled so true and the layout is beautiful. Generally, I would say $90 is a bit steep as I typically look for hot deals, but when you combine the course conditions, fast and true greens, and pace which was 3x better than a course at my hotel I played the day prior, I would highly recommend.

First, got a hot deal for $22 which was really a steal. Fairways really rolled which (being from North East) had not seen all summer. Greens are in great condition except for a few patchy spots and rolled true but maybe a little slower than they could have. Played blue tees but father/uncle played the golds and daughter played from ladies. So good tee choices and thought the blues were challenging w/o being too difficult. Whites were 500 yards shorter so made the right choice. Course layout is really nice and and par 3's offer a good challenge on distance.

Played with y 17 year old daughter and another twosome on a Tues. Hot deal for $25. So a fantastic deal. This is a great course. A challenging layout in great shape. Greens rolled true and the fairways were beautifully manicured. Of course, a few rough spots on the greens that could be helped if people repaired their ballmarks but we played late in the day so not unexpected (unfortunately). Had water on every 3rd hole but no cart girl or any way to get a snack at the turn. Not a hugh deal but had I known, would have planned better.

Got the mid week afternoon hot deal for $58. Teed off at 2:40 and were paired with another twosome. Staff and starter were friendly and gave a few reommendations for altitude anf club selection on #8(2 less) as well as tee boxes. Suggested it would be about a 4.5 hr. round.

The course was gorgeous. Great mountain views, elevated tees, lakes to cross, and no tricked up holes. One of the more beautiful courses I've played and for the money, a fantastic deal. Greens were firm and fast and undulating so you did have to play to the front. Rest of the course was in great shape and yes, a few bumpy cart paths but nothing to spoil a round.

Only complaint was the ranger asked us to speed up since we were a hole behind. Issue was that it was a twosome in front of us and a twosome behind us....so a foursome would naturally play slower (although guys we were paired with did spend a bit too much time looking for lost balls). We sped up and ended up waiting on the twosome in front on a reachable par 5 so the warning was unnecessary. Round did take 4.5 which is slow but for an unfamiliar course and altitude that made club selection a bit tricky, can't expect the same pace on home course.
