paid $18 of GOLFNOW & probably the best value for money i ever had. Beautiful condition all round & a great place to play. My only issue personally it was a little bland lay out wise but that being said thats part of being a resort style course. Definitely worth playing & would highly recommend. Tremendous staff & good food also. Will return

I reviewed Links at Summerly & would review this in similar way overall ..... as a golf course the layout is superb & challenging, the greens are excellent although were a little long & when cut likely some of the best greens around. Bunkers are horrific as is much out the course periphery , but where it matters ..... the fairways, green aprons are decent. Tee boxes need some attention. I paid $27 for weekday would be happier sub $20 & then its a great deal. Better standard golfers will prefer simply as if u don't keep the ball on fairways then you experience the terrible negatives of the course & it is messy like a farmers field ! I would play it again based on the layout alone & the greens but wouldn't pay $27

Drove from San Diego to play as was great deal on GolfNow ....first impressions it looked a little dry & unkempt It was not at all. Excellent golf course in every aspect, superb greens, very challenging holes & great layout. Quiet secluded & peaceful. Good practice facilities also. Highly recommend & will be back, especially for the price. Its a pretty remote location but well worth an hour + drive when you get there

Ok so played this course for first time after keeping an eye on it for 18 months. It's a Links course so wanna try it out but the reviews were so bad ..... I finally decided to go along and was pleasantly surprised. & here is why.
Tees are excellent greens are excellent and landing areas on fairways are good overall Approach areas around the green are very good. The rest of the course is untidy and under construction and messy. Work in progress. As it stands this course is much more suited to lower handicappers whom can put the all pretty much where they want to within reason. Then it plays great. I understand some reviewers comments regards overall condition but then again golf is about greens fairways & tees. & this course for these reasons is excellent value for money & worth playing & a lot of work is happening on course right now so will improve

Played the Mountain course, first time for about 3 years and sadly, due to the drought restrictions on water the course can be almost unplayable, even for low handicap golfers. Greens are superb as alway, tees decent, BUT the fairways are brown, dry and rock hard, so virtually impossible to control the run of the ball, and with many holes elevated, the downward ones are virtually impossible to hit and stay on ..... they will roll on and on like concrete until something stops the roll. its very possible to drive the ball 400 yards on several holes and equally possible to hit a perfect drive straight down the middle and its ends up rolling off into a bush and a penalty drop.
Don't like to be critical as this golfing facility is superb overall and it appears the Valley course is in much better shape as gets more of the water % to keep the fairways green.

Can wait for El Nino to kick in and help this place return to its former glory because as i said, overall this is one of the best golf resorts in the area

If you survive the front 9 without losing a ball then thats an achievement ....... especially if you lay after 12 and the wind kicks up. Overall i would recommend playing this course at least once simply because of the challenge and the qwerky nature of its design. Its a tough golf course and the front 9 particularly tight, long tough par 3's , gettable par 5's and the back 9 offer a little breathing space ..... for a while. Greens had not recovered from being punched so wont judge them, i think they will be very good once recovered. Tee boxes good, fairways overall decent and bunkers are fine ........ pace was slow , likely because very cheap deals going around and also the tightness of the course slows play. Worth trying for sure, and wont be to everyones liking but was interesting, a little unique and if you get round without losing a ball, even if low handicap then thats an achievement !

First impressions we this was going to be horrible course, it looks dry, unkept and messy ..... to the naked eye. However as you get into the round the untidy areas are largely not in play so long as you keep ball relatively straight ......tee boxes are in good shape, course design is excellent and overall the fairways are decent (winter rules will make them perfectly decent to play) and greens are VERY quick , undulating and very tough to get close to the pin.
What i wasn't impressed with was some of the etiquette shown by other golfers on the course and the fact i left a lob wedge by a green and someone stole it rather than the decent thing of handing in to the pro shop. For this reason and principle i wont go back and wouldn't recommend shame and hope the person who stole the club has his day of karma

Played this course several times love the course , the layout, the challenge BUT almost always let down by little to no course management regards to pace of play ...... ruins the round when something so simple as an active marshall could make the experience overall as good as the course itself. Hope they get this right as this is a superb golfers golf course, unreal condition greens and extremely tough when the pin positions are not central

Played course several times , always great condition and a challenge. My only issue is pace can be somewhat slow, and some days you are over hassled by marshalls, other days u dont see any. Latest experience was poor ..... 5 hour + round (on a wednesday afternoon) not a marshall to be seen and rude pro shop staff when we enquired as to the whereabouts of marshalls' to speed up play !
Love the course and the views and want to go back, probably will go back but just for me needs a little more attention to the speed of play to take this up to 4 or 5 stars

After the initial anxiety getting through the Armed security gates the rest of the day was great !
Really nice condition course, good lay out. Maybe a little open, but a nice change to be able to get on the excellent condition tees and feel some confidence with the driver without the worry of losing balls. You can still find trouble don't get me wrong, but at least you have a chance to rescue an errant drive. Good condition fairways, pretty green and lush for the middle of summer and really nice flat greens, albeit a little slow if being picky. Some long Par 3's keep it interesting and also the par 5's are fairly long for birdies good drives are essential. Definitely a course i would recommend playing, very friendly people and a chance to shoot low if u keep the ball straight.

Plays better than it looks ....... a little untidy around the edges and not so pleasing to the eye but a decent course to play, long (6800 yards +) but relatively forgiving and u wont lose any balls. Excellent condition greens, excellent condition tee boxes and fairways play better than they appear. Paid $33 on a holiday so not bad but much cheaper in the week and i would play again. Not overly challenging but interesting lay out and long par 3's off the back tees are a challenge. Has a nostalgic old school feel about the place ........ worth a golf now outing for sure.

Not too much to say horrible horrible condition course overall, shame as superb golf layout but impossible with course in such bad shape. To be fair greens were actually pretty good, but the tees were patchy and overgrown and the fairways and rough were horrific, unplayable. Maybe die to summer water restrictions as had heard good things about this place and maybe try it again in 2-3 months

Had looked forward to playing this course after several people had spoken highly of it ....... and on the whole a little disappointed, other than the fact got a HOT deal for $28.
Firstly the pro shop guy was pedantic and a jobsworth ..... we had only about 15 minutes to hit range balls yet he insisted each person pay $5 for the privilege as there is a no share policy at the club. Its unlimited balls so to a certain degree understand BUT we had such limited time then felt this was harsh. and he was pretty rude and arrogant about it.
The course itself, whilst an excellent layout and pretty tough, the overall conditions were quite poor, overgrown Tee boxes, slow greens and patchy fairways. Didn't enjoy the round at all , maybe the frame of mind the pro shop guy put me in from the start but couldn't really recommend this place its in current condition when so many others in near proximity are both much better condition and also cheaper ......

superb golf course all round ....completely contrasting 9's, both equally nice with different challenges. Superb fairways, if not just a little long although they were being cut at the time, and the greens are flat, true and medium paced. Excellent test of golf for sure, our 4 ball was a 2,3,5,5 handicap and we all shot over 80 !! Must keep the ball straight to score well and the par 3's are not overly long but challenging

At first glance course may look a little ragged and dry .... but it plays much better than it looks. greens are excellent shape and very receptive, tee boxes good .... fairways are a little brown, due to drought water restrictions BUT they still play well and the ball sits nicely ...... the rough and non playing areas of the course are untidy BUT that doesn't interfere with the golf to be fair. Overall definitely a course worth playing and great value for money. Beer is very expensive , almost $20 for 3 cans so be aware

Spectacular golf course in beautiful surrounding. An absolute must play and we got it for $25 on GolfNow and we wouldn't have been disappointed if we paid 3 times that amount
Play this course as soon as you can

Great course for all level of golfers ..... don't be fooled by the short yardage of the course. Cant even use a drive until at least the 6th and you better be straight with irons or there is trouble everywhere in early holes.
Back 9 a little more open but still a test right to the 18th.
Always great value for money and rarely have i played in over 4.5 hours, even at a weekend. The food also is exceptional

Website make the course look like tropical paradise but in reality far from it. Don't get me wrong its decent enough course but not in the best of shape and vastly over-priced ....... close to the strip is the best i can say about this Don't waste your money on this course as far better deals and places to play out there if you are prepared to travel 15-20 minutes

Arguably the best overall 1 day, 2 course experience in SoCal for the money and quality. Contrasting courses, Legends very, very tough and tight, the Champions a little more forgiving and prettier but still challenging. True golfers golf courses, with everything you could ask for in a round. Definitely aimed at low handicap golfer, i play off 5 and found it tough, BUT also enjoyable and playable for all levels off the WHITE tees, or BLUE for mid handicap. Absolutely will be back and unbeatable for the money, especially with same day replay ..... even twice the price would still be great value A ' must play' venue.

Great little course , tough from black tees and testing 1-18. Well gworth playing
