Arroyo Golf Club
Played On 02/24/2017Forced carrys
Arroyo was in great condition. Only course all week which had green rough along the fairways. A lot of holes have forced carries so be long and accurate.
Golf Summerlin - Palm Valley Course
Played On 02/23/2017Wierd marshal
Great course well maintained and fun to play. Not too much trouble. I was in a group of very nice local retirees. We finished the round in 4hr 10min, very typical for vegas golf, yet the marshal hassled us for slow play. Weird.
Boulder Creek Golf Club - Coyote Run/Eldorado Valley
Played On 02/22/2017$10 for practice balls!
Great course, well maintained. Had a good time and would play there again. However, I thought $10 for practice balls was extreme. Lots of them laying around on the range, next time I'll check there before buying.
Silverstone Golf Course - Desert/Valley Course
Played On 02/17/2015Well maintained friendly fun course
I enjoyed Silverstone. While I'm a fairly high handicapper at 24, I liked the course the friendly staff and the well maintained tee boxes and greens. The fairways weren't in as good a shape, but they are likely being careful with water usage.
Golf Summerlin - Highland Falls Course
Played On 02/16/2015Surprisingly pleasant golf experience
I enjoyed Highland Falls. The course was in great shape and the staff was friendly.
Chimera Golf Club
Played On 08/20/2014Good golf, but hard to find
Course was well maintained the staff was friendly. Due to construction, though, the course was very difficult to navigate to.
Wolf at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
Played On 02/18/2014Tough course especially with high winds
Paiute Wolf is about 45' north of Las Vegas located on an Indian reservation in very open country. The course was challenging for me especially with the high winds (normal I'm told). Drives were either 250yds or 150yds, even putting was dramatically affected by the wind. The resort and course are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is helpful and friendly. I'd play it again, but I'd play up from the whites!
Canyon/Lakes at Spanish Trail Country Club
Played On 02/17/2014Well maintained beautiful course
Spanish Trail was a highlight of the 4 courses I played last weekend. It's exceptionally well maintained nestled amongst an upscale neighborhood. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes are all green and lush. Staff is friendly and responsive (had a battery problem on the cart, they replaced it quickly). I'd play there again anytime.
Charleston National Golf Club
Played On 3/19/2013Well maintained, lots of tough carries
I saved Charleston National for my final round in the area and am glad that I did. Though it was March and many courses in the area played like concrete, this course had green tee boxes, green aprons, and well maintained greens. It's built in a swampy area so there were lots of carries especially on the back nine. If you're striping it you'll do well, otherwise bring extra balls.
Shadowmoss Plantation Golf Club
Played On 3/18/2013only course, of 4, with green fairways
Green fairways, green tee boxes, well maintained greens, I'd return in a heartbeat
The Club at Pine Forest
Played On 3/17/2013Beautiful setting, not very green
Pine Forest was the most expensive course I played in the area, but it wasn't the best cared for. It was ok, but the tee boxes were pretty beat up, the fairways were not green, and the greens weren't yet recovered from plugging.
Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
Played On 3/16/2013Fariways were concrete
Wescott is a beautiful course, the people are friendly and the locals I was placed with were great. The course was in very bad shape. The tee boxes were brown, fairways were like concrete, as were the aprons. Greens not much better. Even the locals were surprised at the course condition. I played 3 other courses that week, all were in much better shape.
Thanks for your comment! We're happy to hear you had a nice time and enjoyed our course! Hope to see you again soon!
