Quail Ridge Country Club
Played On 08/13/2022Great stop in the Sandhills
I have played here three times now and each time I enjoy the course. The layout has elevation changes, varying green sizes and nice green undulation (except hole number 2 which needs to be redone). The greens were a touch slow but likely due to recent maintenance. There were some significant brown/burned up spots in the fairways and rough that could be improved upon. The fairways have little roll so the yardage plays a tough longer than expected. Overall a good place to grab a round.
Crescent Pointe Golf Club
Played On 09/23/2020Speed of play was very bad.
Good challenging course. The greens are small and undulated. Some had dead spots though. The layout was tough and a yardage book with hole descriptions would have been helpful. The pace of play was 4 1/2 hours which was a killer. The range needs help. Mostly old recovered balls from the course and very few targets to use for warm up. Would not mind to play again someday but they really need to address the pace of play.
Boulder Creek Golf Club - Coyote Run/Eldorado Valley
Played On 01/02/2020Highly Recommend.
This was a great course layout, playing hard and fast with occasional wind at 10-15 mph. The staff was super nice and allowed me to enjoy my vacation round alone. The greens were nice, fairways tight and fast. I have played a lot around Vegas and this course is worth the short drive from the strip.
TPC Louisiana
Played On 02/11/2017Good course to play
We had a group of 4 older people in front of our threesome that never let us through and no ranger came out to push them along or allow us through. It took 3 hours to play the front and we jumped them on 10 to play the back 9 in an hour and a half. Other than that, the course was in good shape, the greens were true, albeit a little slow for this level of course, and typical Pete Dye layout. I would enjoy playing it again some day.
Canyon/Lakes at Spanish Trail Country Club
Played On 01/13/2017I think there are better choices in Vegas
There was less than 1/2 inch of rain over a 24 hour period and two of the three nine holes were closed leaving everyone to play canyons course only. No one bothered to tell anyone at time of purchase that they only had nine holes open nor did they discount the round. On top of that, they allowed a six-some (yes 6) of members to go out and play the only nine holes available. Not a very challenging course either. I feel there are much better courses in Vegas to play.
Royal Links Golf Club
Played On 01/11/2017Well worth it
I typically do not care for replica courses or "holes inspired by' type courses as I feel they are often cheesy. That was not the case here and I was surprised. I selected this course due to the high winds in the area and felt what better place to play then a links course in wind. The fairways and greens were very fast. The holes were challenging and the staff was very kind. I would love to go back and hit these links again.
Bear's Best Las Vegas
Played On 01/10/2017Good course to play
For mid Jan, the course and greens were in good shape. There was some waiting despite the course not being very full.
Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort
Played On 10/30/2016Good place
Not the best Palm Springs has to offer but a good track to play. Some very pretty holes on the course and the course plays fair. I would recommend this course in a trip rotation.
Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course
Played On 10/29/2016Very slow
4.75 hour round of golf and ranger did little to help other than say, that's about typical out here. The starter was not very nice either. Pro shop staff was kind though. The driving range was beat up pretty bad like they had not moved the tee section for a couple days. The course layout was great and conditions were good as it was recently overseeded. Greens were slow but that was expected as the over seed contributed. All in all there are better options in Palm Springs.
Siena Golf Course
Played On 03/04/2016Good track to play
I enjoyed playing this course even though it felt like I found every single bunker on the course. Course conditions were good but we played late in the day and the poa had grown making the greens a bit bumpy. That's the risk u take for a 1 pm tee time. I didn't interact much with the staff but they were friendly. I played poorly and was like 9 over, so,I can't wait to get to the course again and bring that number down. They do need a predator on the course to reduce some of those rabbits. I bet there were 500 on the back nine.
Revere Golf Club - Concord Course
Played On 03/01/2016Great track
Stunning views, awesome conditions, friendly staff, and a good layout make for a good day on the course. The driving range could be a little better, but that is about all I can say negative. There some interesting par threes here. I played the tips and that left me with one interesting decision on 18. I decided to lay up and then hit a second one to see if I made the right choice. Will you choose correctly?
TPC Las Vegas
Played On 02/29/2016Pricey but a good quality course
As with most TPC courses you get the feel of what challenges face the pros. Although it wasn't tournament conditions, the course is a challenge. Greens are quick and many holes give you ample risk reward opportunities. I look forward to playing here again.
Hi Rod,
Thank you for the wonderful comments. While simply playing the course is a treat, layering on the fact we are a home for PGA TOUR professionals makes the day that much more memorable. We look forward to seeing you again!
The Legacy Golf Club
Played On 02/28/2016Average at best but slow play was torture
Nearly six hours for an 18 hole round. They packed so many groups into the day we started 20 minutes behind our tee time. The course design was pretty good and the greens roles well. The fairways were over seeded and spotty and uneven growth. The rough was dormant and not over seeded. For the money charged, there are far better options in the LV area. The staff was friendly and kind. The range was less than desirable. You hit from thin matts and all the bays were packed. The range balls were shag bag quality. I knew I was in for a bad day when my golf cart key was a Budweiser opener, the cart towel was Sam Adams, and there was a guy in jeans and a tee shirt on the range. Simply stated, there are better places to play in this town.
Arroyo Golf Club
Played On 02/26/2015Good design and conditions
Good course design and condition. Pace of play was very slow. Nearly a five hour round. Being a two handicap it was very frustrating. The staff has lost their "Country Club" treatment I found advertised online.
