Cardiff Golf and Country Club
Played On 09/04/2019Stay out of the trees!!
Not a tough course but you want to stay on the fairways. Balls tend to disappear in the trees. The pace was good. We finished in just under four hours. The greens were fast and most of them were in excellent shape. We really enjoyed our round and definitely would go back.
Desert Canyon Golf Club
Played On 12/14/2017Beautiful course
I really enjoyed this course. Lots of hills and doglegs. The greens were fast and very undulating. The fairways were in nice shape, although some of the tee boxes were a little dry. Staff were friendly and helpful. I definitely will be back.
Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
Played On 12/08/2017Under the flight path
Very basic short course. Greens were a good speed but fairly straight so the round was a good confidence builder for my putting. Playing as a riding single I got behind a walking foursome on the fourth hole, who would not let me play through until the 10th, and that was only because one of them was in the bathroom. Planes constantly flying over, sometimes 2 at a time as they landed at the airport. Conditions were very dry for this time of year. Layout of course wasn't bad.
Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
Played On 12/07/2017Great golf experience
I really enjoyed this course. The pace of play was very quick. The course itself was not too challenging but the greens are tough. Not fast but lots of undulations. Staff was awesome. Very friendly and helpful.

Played On 10/18/2017Nice Round considering.....
I didn't realize that I was playing on the first day the course was open after overseeding. I did know about the overseeding and that it was cart path only, but when I got to the course I was told that it would be a very slow round and given a voucher for a free round. I didn't find it that slow thanks to the people I was teamed up with and I found the course to be a nice easy course for my first round in over a month. Lots of par threes, but still some hazards to keep you on your toes. Greens were very slow of course, but I will come back in a couple of weeks once the course is back to normal.
Twin Willows Golf Club
Played On 08/20/2017Sorry I spent the money
Every time we play this course we get behind duffers with no golf etiquette. This time we got paired up with a couple. Slow doesn't begin to describe them. They would leave their cart all over the fairway then walk over to one persons ball then back to the cart for a club. You get the picture. Then they were tossing their beer cans on the fairway and we had to pick up after them. These men were in their sixties like a lot of the people who frequent this course. We ditched them after nine and had a better round after that, but for $120+ for two people, next time I'll pay another $20 and play a nice course.
Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club
Played On 10/04/2016Complicated layout
Thank goodness for GPS. This course doesn't just have doglegs.. Almost all the holes have you hitting around corners and then more corners. At one point you have to drive your cart onto another hole to get to your next hole. Fortunately on a Tuesday in October it wasn't that busy. Unfortunately the greens were just aerated so it was hard to judge their true condition, but they seemed pretty fast since almost every time i chipped on my ball rolled right over. It was generally in good autumn condition and for the price I paid it was a nice round of golf. I would play it again.
Wainwright Golf and Country Club
Played On 09/09/2016What we expected
My son and I were meeting halfway between Saskatoon and Edmonton. This course fit the bill perfectly. It was in pretty good shape with all the rain we had this summer. Even though there were lots of people golfing, the pace was fast. Lots of doglegs on the back nine. The bunkers were wet but playable. Greens were fairly fast considering we got a rain shower. A few creeks and ponds running across the fairways. Grass driving range. It was a fun small town course.
Ironhead Golf and Country Club
Played On 08/18/2015Great layout
From previous reviews, we didn't have high expectations for our round, but we were pleasantly surprised. Some of the greens had some dead spots, but most of them were in okay shape. A little slow, but consistent, so definitely playable. Some of the fairways were in great shape, but no sand in the carts for filling divots. The layout of the course is great. We really enjoyed our round. A little tlc and this course could be one of the best around.
Whitecourt Golf and Country Club
Played On 07/28/2015Well worth the drive
This course is in great condition. The layout is just challenging enough to still be fun. Lots of tree-lined fairways and bunkers around the greens. Course is not overly long, with a choice of tee boxes, so you have a good opportunity to make the greens in regulation if you are on targrt. Greens are fast and surprisingly undulating. Food is good and reasonably priced. The people are very friendly. We will definitely be back.
Edmonton Springs Golf Course
Played On 06/21/2015Slow Slow Slow
We made the mistake of playing on a Sunday and booked through golfnow. They didn't have Internet access so they had no idea who was and wasn't booked. We had to wait 15 minutes for a cart to be returned so we could start. The front nine took 3 hours. The tee boxes were in horrible shape and it was hard to find a flat one where you weren't standing in a sod crack. There was no Marshall to move things along and there was a golf cart sitting in one of the ponds. This course has really gone downhill while the prices have gone up. We will not be going back.
Twin Willows Golf Club
Played On 06/02/2015Good basic course
This course is fun for when you just want to get a round in without having to drive too far, or pay too much. It's easy to get to and not especially tough, although the greens will challenge you. It's in okay condition considering we haven't had much rain. We usually golf early in the mornings to beat the crowds, and on this occasion we golfed right after rain so we just about had the course to ourselves. It was a bit windy on the back nine where it is more open, but it was still an enjoyable round.
Athabasca Golf and Country Club
Played On 05/30/2015Fun and challenging course
Nice course with some narrow fairways and lots of hazards and elevation changes. It really needs water, but we haven't been getting rain so most courses are suffering this year. Greens are fast and undulating. The third hole was closed so we played a bonus hole instead. People were friendly and we'll be back again.
Legends Walk at Orange Lake Resort
Played On 12/07/2014So much fun
It took a few holes to adjust to hitting golf balls in the dark, but I found the secret was to back off a couple of clubs and use a partial swing. We seemed to be the only people on the course so it went fast. We decided to go around again, and didn't have to pay anything. The greens were very slow and soft, but they were in good shape otherwise. Golfing at night is a challenging experience and if you don't get lost, it's a lot of fun.
Aquarina Country Club
Played On 12/07/2014Good practice for short game
We booked this course through golfnow without knowing that the greens were over seeded, but the pro shop gave us a reduced rate. The round was going very fast until we got behind some slow groups. If we hadn't had anyone in front of us it would have been very fast. This is a really short course with a few surprises and some water and bunkers. The greens would be challenging if they weren't overseeded. Overall it was a fun little executive course and I would go again if I wanted to get in a quick round.
Panther Lake at Orange County National
Played On 12/04/2014Excellent experience
Great staff, great conditions, great layout, great value...this is a must play.
West Orange Country Club
Played On 12/03/2014Loved the course
The front nine was a little slow(3 hours) but the marshal was on it and got things moving better on the back nine. The greens were a little inconsistent, but some of them looked a bit wet in places. Some of the tee boxes and fairways were a bit chewed up, but overall what a fun course to play. Lots of elevation changes, bunkers, water, and other challenges. Lunch came included with our deal and wasn't the best, but it was free.
Providence Golf Club
Played On 12/02/2014Really nice course
We golfed right after a downpour, so it was a little damp and we had to keep the cart on the path, but the conditions on the course were excellent and it is a nice and challenging layout. Wasn't busy. Saw a couple of alligators. Just a good course to golf.
Trestle Creek Golf Resort - Jack Pine/Creekside Course
Played On 09/16/2014Worth the drive
Very challenging course with meandering creeks and undulating greens. Conditions are always great - tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Creekside nine were supposed to be open this year but got delayed to next year and I can hardly wait.
Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club
Played On 08/30/2014Pretty good value for a course in the city
Greens were fast with a bit of challenge. Too many geese. Tee boxes hard-broke tees. I like the layout. Had to wait at every tee box once we caught up, but not too slow for a Saturday afternoon. Owners were working and very friendly, but the girl in the pro shop was not as nice. All in all, the course is is average shape and is fun to play.
