This course is hit or miss when it comes to pace of play, but when the groups in front are moving along, it is a blast. Easy course with open fairways but fun greens. Nothing fancy but great value for the money. Greens were in great shape and fairways were generally good (just a few muddy areas and a couple bare spots, but overall good).

Played 9 holes on the Friars course and I'm amazed that they are keeping this course open for play. I will not play this course again. Fairways are mostly new sod or dirt, they closed the tee boxes on the par 5s and made them play 270 yards, we teed off at 7:15 and staff we still cutting the greens while we were waiting to hit our approach shots. Overall, not even worth $10 to play. They really need to shut down Friars for a month and completely repair it, but it's obvious that the course management want to milk as much money as possible without regard for repeat golfers. With several other options in the area at a similar price, i dont plan on playing this course any time soon.

Greens are great (although a little slower than usual). Fairways are pretty decent but the rough can get interesting and unpredictable (and in some places only weeds). Lay-out is pretty straightforward with very little OB. Pace of play could have been painstakingly slow but the group in front of us let us jump at #4. Starter does a good job as well. Overall good course for the money and nice if you're not looking for a challenging course.
