I have played this course about a dozen times and have always liked the risk/reward of many of the short par 4's. However, I have never walked away thinking foremost of the condition of the greens. It is very unusual for greens to be in great shape this time of the year, but every single green was in outstanding shape. The only problem was someone in front of us was dragging their feet...thank goodness my brother-in-law and I do not follow tour rules when it comes to repairing that!

Silverhorn is in its best playing shape I have seen in 5 years. The rains have been friendly and the upkeep is excellent. The pace of play, though crowded, was fine. The greens had been aerated what appeared to be a couple of weeks previous, so they were slightly bumpy but still fast. The rough is deep and the fairways are immaculate. I recommend this course for good to very good golfers. You can truly see the shape your game is in as the fairways are tight!

This course is on the way back to being as good or better than it ever was! The greens just need a little more TLC and a break with the weather. The layout is very challenging with several risk/reward shots. Not many courses can boast the beauty of the surrounding hills and backdrops. You will not be disappointed with the improvements, particularly with the dining and clubhouse.

Very affordable and pace of play was excellent. Encountered a few groups as a twosome, but were quickly allowed to play through. The greens are a little grainy, but the overall condition of the course is the best it has been in more than a few years. You will not be disappointed.

I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course. The recent rains have helped as the course had lush fairways and closely mowed, fairly fast Bermuda greens. The only complaints I would have is numerous unrepaired ball marks on the par 3's and no beverage cart on a Friday. The course experience provided exactly was I was looking for-a pleasant afternoon of golf on a well groomed course!
