How could you let this beautiful course go?

This was my favorite course in the Reno, Sparks, Carson area. Duncan was going to sell it and let it go. Water issues galore. It tuned into almost a swamp. Someone new bought it and transferred it back to the splendor it once enjoyed. This year it is in the same condition Duncan left it. I cannot get anyone to drive out there to golf. I have 2 free passes and still cannot get another to join me. I belong to NNSGC, as well as a large group 28-40 guys who golf together. No one wants to play you anymore. Are you preparing to sell it or just stopped caring about golf and your past clients.

What a shame.....JC

The course was in perfect shape. Great tees, great fairways, fair second cut, and very challenging greens. It is a simple course. Opposite directions side by side fairways. It is a very easy course to walk.

The pro shop staff was great. The driving range is off of grass and not mats. The distances are well marked. Chipping and putting areas were large and in excellent conditions. The practice green truly represented the course greens which we all know is an anomaly with most courses.

Albeit the surroundings are incredible, it is an overpriced public golf course. They paired me with a local, who said he can only golf there when they have a special. He paid $36. Regular green fee is $79.

All in all it was a good experience. They hooked me up with a couple who were walking; very nice people but, this considerably slowed down the pace; 4.5 hours in a shotgun. We didn't have to wait, but we were hit into twice, and had two visits from the marshal. What can you do but roll with the punches.

If I could not golf anywhere else, I would golf here net trip. Again, it was a well kept perfect golf course.

Hi jamesccollinsjr, Thank you for taking time to provide feedback on your round. There is great information written in this review. We get what you're saying about the comparison of practice greens and course greens. We take pride in our course conditions. Always good to hear we're doing a good job maintaining the course areas. It sounds like you had a great day on the golf course when rolling with the punches! We look forward to seeing you soon for your next round. Best, Oakcreek Country Club
