One of the best layouts reminiscent of the Prince Course in Kauai (closed now). The bunkers were bare, the greens were uneven and the fairways are slowly being taken over by crabgrass. It's a real shame, because if course conditions were better, it would be a top ten course for me. Every hole requires thought and you will use every club in your bag. You could tell that they sunk a lot of money into this place during its heyday. Now it's barely hanging on. Sad to see such a great design not given the respect it's due, but business is business.

Fantastic service. Reminds me of the courses I've played in Dubai, but at 1/3 the price. Course is in excellent shape. The layout is hard but fair. The raised greens with bunkers collecting erred shots makes for a round that begs for a single par. Short putts are easily missed due to very nuanced breaks. It pays to pay attention to the break and of course the grain, as all grass is bermuda. Keep it in the fairway as balls in the bermuda rough will either give you a great lie, or a buried lie that will make it hard to advance the ball.

Fairways are wide for the long holes, and pretty tight for the short ones with much bunkering to enhance the risk/reward element of the golf. This is a mature course with mature trees that will hinder a wayward shot. Long putts need extra care for the breaks are tough to read and are magnified with the type of bermuda grass. Fast downhill with the grain and slow uphill against the grain.

Only being one year old, I'm surprised the course is in this condition. The layout is fantastic. If this course was in better shape, it would be highly rated. Tests all the clubs in your bag. All the par 3's except for one is challenging.

Challenging private course. Tree lined, narrow fairways. Fast greens. Traditional parkland layout. A must play in NoVA if you can get on.

Course had just completed aeration so greens were bumpy. Otherwise great experience. Played lake and canyon. Canyon was shorter but more interesting.
