Cimarron Golf Club - Pebble Par-3 Course
Played On 10/19/2017Good for some recreation and fun
The course was not in good condition as it was just about ready for reseeding. There are also lots of waste areas that come into play because the greens are quite elevated and if you miss the ball rolls into the waste areas. The greens were uncut and very rough and slow. When the conditions improve it would be a good course to play for some fun.
Golf Club At Terra Lago - South Course
Played On 10/18/2017Challenging and Interesting Layout
Really enjoyed this course. Quite generous fairways although the canal makes some shots a bit tight on the front nine. The greens were excellent although a little slow. Fairways in excellent condition. Pro shop guy not very happy and friendly but the starter was excellent.
Canyon/Lakes at Spanish Trail Country Club
Played On 10/12/2017Great facilities and course
We played the Canyon and Lakes nines. Services on arrival were very good. You have to pay the $5 fee for water and you can hit as many range balls as you like so come early if you want. They let us tee off earlier than our booking time which made for a smooth round with no hold ups. The course is a superb layout. Some great water holes on the Lakes nine but we actually liked the Canyon nine more. The greens were recovering from maintenance but they rolled fairly true and were quite fast which we liked. We explored the clubhouse after the game and had a drink. Although a members club we were well accommodated.
Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course
Played On 10/11/2013Eighteen Well Designed Holes for and Enjoyable Game
This course was in excellent condition and it has very generous fairways which make for an enjoyable game. It is a great driving course. Every hole is welll designed with well placed bunkers at driving distances and around greens. Greens are large and it is necessary to pay attention to the hole placement system for the day - details are given in the cart along with the very handy GPS system. Tees are immaculate as are green surfaces, although we found the green speed hard to get used to as it was quite slow.
Our only issue was with the rental sets we hired - we were overseas travellers. The quality is poor for the price ($30). Unmatched irons with different grip sizes and no hybrids at all. We didn't realise until on the course but one set had no sand iron at all. We had hired better sets on our trip for half the price.
