Third or fourth time playing Newport, I've enjoyed each time the condition is good nothing a little TLC can't cure; but the are greens little slow to my liking. Played 18 under 4hrs played the front along one guy joined me on the back which proved too be a good thing. A little off the beating path well worth the trip.

This has been one of my go too places to play, but haven't played it in a year or two (no longer live in area). My partner and I was only able to play three holes (weather and couldn't inform GN nor tee off(Hotdeal) of situation for reimbursement).
It seems maintenance has become a thing gone lacking my partner and I observation from what it once was, great layout but A LITTLE TLC NEEDED

Who is giving it a higher rating the only drawback was is that the greens need a little bit of de-weeting, had a great time with the three fellas I was paired up with. In my book this is a hidden gem.

The reason for the" heads up" it's because I wasn't informed of the course condition prior to me starting my round. From the first tee things was looking great but when I got to the second gound it closed and the next few holes all was under construction with temp tee box(mats) the whole front of course is under construction, the back nine was in better shape. This place hold water, now as far as recommending I do and will play it again once the reconstruction in completed and there has been less rain coming from Fl I know saturation.

Two years later much haven't changed, all fairways, green are in good condition. Keeping it on the short grass is a must. Left and right Protected.

Was able to get 18 in less than for hours. No complaints only Praise for Hidden Gem. I highly recommend the Osprey
High to low HC give it a try.

Last played this track 2yrs ago and it's still a gem. There's a little TLC needed on a few greens due to water damage done remember the exact ones

This track has proven to always be in great shape; pace of play is always outstanding. the evident of TLC is ever present. For a quick 18 and greens that can prove to be a bit tricky; place this one at the top of the list.

Even though it was cart path only track, because of the day before down pour it drained well; and the greens rolled true. 3.5 hour start to finish.

The changes made aren't that notable it my memory serves me, they are all good. the green are a bit tricky but true. The staff was very accommodating started my 3 ball on the second hole of which we was very thankful.

First time playing this gem it a little tight(narrow), tree line is deceiving was able to bogey. The greens roll true, take a little time to read them. Great value fun to play.

First time ever setting foot on this track. I'm grateful for being paired with the guys that know the course so thanks to them. Didn't score well lose a couple of balls which I'm to blame. The layout is great however there are obscured hazards (first timers use yardage book). The green are a little slow to my liken and a bit trick hence my score.

Like the course over all very much, green roll fairly true except around cup; they are either older holes or cutting blade is dull.

Having played this since maybe '13 vowed then not to play it again, then I saw the price for 18 early AM read a few of the latest reviews and here I am breaking another vow. I must say over the track is in great shape and the ground crews are working diligently to make it better (hats off). One draw back if can get the speed up on the front to that of the back I give them a grade B+, yet for the going $ rate for 18 you deserving of A for where you have come.

The elevation changes are great, for the long hitter you're have great advantage off tee box. We played after a rain storm the track played a little slow, and some of the sand traps holding water over all course drain very well.

This is the second playing here, enjoyed both times this last time would have been better if I wasn't playing behind an extremely slow foursome. Wouldn't allow my twosome to play thru. This place have a few holes that will test your golfing skill.

After some good showers the past few days, the greens played tricks on our foursome speed seem to vary from hole to hole. All in all this is a very good track. took a little longer to play because of the foursome ahead of us where's the marshals when needed.

No water hazard, tree lines can lead to higher scores. For an exec. course it challenge both your short and long game. Very small greens that roll true.

Was a bit disappointed that the back nine was shut down because of overseeding (Would have been nice if GN had noted}, was informed at check in by the very nice clerk.Greens roll true, fairways in great shape; ry layout is very good.

Have this track a number of times this is the cart path only usually drain good, just blame it on the rain the last few weeks. Other than that this is rated high on places to play; always in great condition. I'm a little disappointed with the construction on the back 9.
