I decided to play this course on a Hot Deal. Upon arrival, I was met in the parking lot by Paul who delivered a cart to my car. Cart already contained 4 bottles of water in ice. Check-in was easy and the desk staff were friendly. I had a nice lunch at the grill before teeing off shortly after noon. Course was in very good condition - good fairway grass and true running greens. Very pleasant scenery around the course. Unfortunately, I only had a chance to play the front nine, but still had an enjoyable time. I hope to return in the near future to play the entire 18.

Gopher Hills lived up to its name when I played it for the first time on August 8th. Set in the middle of farming country, the course was a continuous change in elevation, leading to numerous uphill, downhill and side hill lies. The front nine was rather wide open. The back nine, however, was a bit tighter with tree lined fairways on several holes. Overall, the course was in good condition and it was a fun round of golf. There were even a couple sightings of the namesake gophers. Everyone in pro shop was friendly and the club had a nice area for post-round drinks and meal. I'm glad I took the time to find this course and would recommend it without hesitation.

Played the course on 5/9. Conditions were excellent. Interesting and challenging layout with generous fairways, nice elevation changes and a wide array of bunkers. Pro shop was excellent. I would definitely recommend this course.

Played on 5/8. Had previously played the Legacy next door and would rate the Raven as a notch above that course. Course was in great shape and pace of play was no problem. Having played many other courses in Phoenix, the Raven was a nice change of pace with its tree lined fairways. Good pro shop and practice facilities. I'll play this one again.

Played on 5/6. Course was in good condition. Very friendly staff at Talking Stick. Course has generous fairways and is relatively flat. I liked it better than the north course. It's certainly a good option in the Scottsdale area. Definitely superior to either course at McCormick Ranch and Silverado, similarly priced courses in that area.

I played the Blue Course for the first time on March 21. Bag boy, shop attendant and starter were all very friendly. The course was in very good condition. Ball set up nicely in the fairways and the bunkers had plenty of sand that had been raked. While the greens rolled true, be advised that they are small, mounded and fast which affected my ability to hold them. Also, pace of pay was excellent as my two playing partners and I finished in under 4 hours. I would recommend this course to anyone who's in the west valley and wants an enjoyable round of golf in a nice setting.

Played this course for the first time today. Staff couldn't have been any friendlier. Paired with a local who helped with his local knowledge. Course was in superb condition. Greens ran true and ball St up nicely in the fairways. Bunkers were raked and full of sand. Do yourself a favor and make the drive to Boulder Creek. You won't regret it. Great value and golfing experience.

Was a little apprehensive because the course was 45 miles north Last Vegas in the middle of nowhere. But, the drive was worth it. Course was nearly empty when I arrived. Greeted by very friendly staff and paired with two other golfers. Course was in excellent condition. Fairways lush and greens were fast and treacherous with severe contours. Fairways were generaous but bunkers surrounding the greens were penal. Layout was very nice and surrounding mountains and desert provided nice backdrop. Would highly recommend a drive North to play this hidden gem.

Played course for first time on November 19. Staff was friendly and course was generally in good condition, except for the fairways that were spooty to bare in spots. Enjoyed the layout and setting and at $50 considered it a good value. Would play again at the right price.

Course conditions were great prior to reseeding. Playable with generous fairways but required shot placement and avoidance of numerous bunkers. Greens good

This course is well worth the 30 minute drive from Phoenix. Conditions of fairways and greens were near perfect. Lots of sand, but the fairways are generous and good shots are rewarded. Starter was very friendly and informative. Great pace of play as we finished in 4 hours. I will definitely return and recommend that you give this course a try if you want an alternative to the more traditional desert courses in the area.

Course is in very good condition. Greens were lightning quick. Only blemish was lack of sand in some bunkers. Course is challenging but fair. Shots require thought and strategy. Pace of play was no problem. Be advised that course is near very busy local airport so you'll have private aircraft flying overhead during round. However, I think the course is a great value and worth that inconvenience. I'll be returning again.

Course was in good condition. Rough not over seeded. Greens were fast. Layout is good with some mild elevation changes. Staff was friendly and I enjoyed the overall experience. Compared to pricier courses in the East Valley, this course represents good value if you're willing to drive 30 minutes west. Also has a nice outdoor eating area for post-round food and drinks.

Played this course for the first time on 1/17/18. Fairways were in excellent shape and greens were running fast and true. Course winds through a pleasant neighborhood. We were following a slower foursome. Marshal was helpful and advised us to jump ahead of them at the turn. Cart girl was friendly. This is not the swankiest club around, but the course was very playable and in excellent condition. And at $50 it was a good value. I would happily play it again at that price.

Played this course for the first time on 1/16/18. Course was busy and round took more than 4 1/2 hours. I found the course to be rather boring to play. I was also disappointed in the conditions of the fairways. I think there are better options in the area at this price point, and don't intend to return here.

Generous fairways and good speed on the greens. Back nine featured some elevation changes. Overall a very pleasant golfing experience. Would recommend this course over those at McCormick Ranch due to better conditioning and variety of holes. Great value for your money here.

First time to play this course. Conditions were generally very good. Greens were in excellent shape. Course has generous fairways, but bunkers have steep faces which can present challenges. Nice views of South Mountain. Thought the course and overall experience provided excellent value and will play this course again the next time I'm in the Phoenix area. All in all, an enjoyable of golf at the Legacy Club.

I chose this course because I was looking for a reasonably priced alternative to desert golf. The Palms course delivered on both counts. Much more of an old fashioned resort feel to the course. Conditions were generally very good. Only complaint was with some bunkers which needed additional sand. Water comes into play on several holes and this is the type of course that requires a golfer to think his way around the course. If you're looking for a break from the more penal desert courses, give this course a look. It provides an enjoyable golfing experience at very reasonable rates. I intend to play it again.
