Teed off at noon and 100 degrees and caught the morning groups after four holes. Waited every hole from there to the finish. Had a foursome two groups ahead that slammed the pace. Had four groups waiting by the first par three on the back nine. Course really needs a marshal! Don’t get in a fairway bunker unless you practice hitting off your driveway - there isn’t any sand - just hard pack.

Every time my wife and I play this course it’s a delight. The course layout is excellent and always in great shape. The staff is wonderful and they go out of their way to make your round the best possible experience. The price is high, but if you catch a hot deal or last minute discount, you won’t find a better course.

Have played Talking Stick dozens of times over the past five years and have never failed to have a great round. It gets pretty slow in the winter, but now that the snowbirds are gone, it’s back to a good track. A special shout out to the drink cart lady - she saw us five or six times over the round and since it was a hundred degrees today, she was a welcome sight. Two excellent courses and great service!

If you’re going to let the rough die out in the winter, why cut it so short that all you have is dirt? It is nearly impossible to hit a wedge off this concrete. The greens are in terrible shape and I don’t think anyone has ever repaired a ball mark on this course. One good thing is that you never have to rake a sand trap because there is no sand. You could hit off the cart path with better results.

We were excited to play a "top ten Arizona course" for a Hot Deal price, but what a disappointment!! The pro shop was rude when we arrived-just saying "you paid on line so start whenever you like". No directions on where the carts were and no one to bring the clubs from the bag drop. Found the area and only two dirty carts sitting there. Had to go back in and ask for a fresh cart. Started the round and found out biting flies were everywhere. Then saw the dairy farm next door. What a miserable round. Greens in terrible shape and fairways punched. Not worth the drive and even at the Hot Deal price - a total disappointment.

Playing the best holes of Jack's courses in the West is a great break from monotony. Each hole is a new challenge. Playing in late January, we expected a slow pace, but making the turn and having five groups on ten was ridiculous. It took over 4.5 hours to get in the round and the last two holes were by feel in the dark.
