Awesome 9-hole course

Emerald Hills is a fantastic course with a good variety of holes. Because it's hilly, there are challenging uphill and downhill lies. Not too many obstacles, so it's beginner-friendly. The first 3 holes are ~150 yards, so you can hit something longer than a 9i. With the exception of hole 7 and 8 where you need to wait a while, I really enjoyed playing here. The price with GolfNow is only $5, so it's pretty much a steal. Very satisfying to hit green shots from the tee.

Metropolitan, a long and open course

I teed off at 12:30 on Sunday and finished at right about 5:00pm. Pace was slower than I'd like due to the 3 groups ahead. Metropolitan is mostly flat. If you hit on a mound, you're looking at just a slight slant. This course is also one of the most boring I've played on. All you see is open grass and golfers. Hardly any nature bits at all to appreciate.

In addition, the golf cart paths are designed in such an interesting maze. Here's the funny part. You're following your ball and driving on the fairway until you realize that you're on a different hole and have to find your way to the proper path. Occasionally, I unconsciously realized that I was on another person's fairway...that's dangerous! This course needs proper dividers that intuitively guide golfers to the next hole as well as keep them on the hole they're playing on.

Lastly, this is such a long course. If you're out of shape or don't have the endurance to make it though all 18 holes, this course isn't for you. I drove a cart and was so winded after the 9th...

...golf is hard :(

Skywest: beginner-friendly, casual game, very open and long course

Skywest is a great course for setting up a casual game amongst friends. Very beginner-friendly, and by that I mean most of the fairways extend quite a bit to cover slices or hooks. I'd highly recommend driving a cart because there are a lot of par 5s. Very fun and chill. Good pace.
