I have played this course several times and it has always been very windy. Yesterday shots into a cross wind were really tough, and into the wind was not easy. 2 club wind easily. Great practice area.

Things started out a little iffy because we were behind a shotgun tournament. But pace of play was not horrible and things really picked up once the tournament ended.

The first few holes were fairly plain, but once the course turned uphill really became interesting. Plus Carson City is one of the best places to play golf in Nevada if you want to get away from all the bright lights big city stuff of Reno and Vegas.

we had players show up in front of us and behind us we had never seen before. then we came across 3 women who had high centered their cart and could not get thru to the proshop for help.

lots of private carts just driving around and many people on the course for a stroll. even had to skip 12th or 13th hole because it was family photo time at the green.

Front 9 layout pretty boring, back 9 better. Homes right on the fairway. Several blind shots. If you enjoy listening to home owners visit with each other then you might enjoy this course. Course does have potential.

There was just nothing very interesting about this course. Some good views but you expect that in desert mountain courses. Greens, fairways and bunkers were in poor shape. Kind of course you play when you want to play 9 holes, are in the area and have nothing better to do.

The course has tee boxes for every level. Rough can be very challenging. Some holes are wide open, others very tight. My favorite view is the par 5 15th. This course does not have view of the valley, but has some spectacular mountain scenes. Good but not great practice area.

fairways had lots of bare spots and rarely had good lies. lots of clover in the fairways so you can lose a ball in the middle of the fairway.
