Red Mountain Ranch Country Club
Played On 02/10/2023Ignore any negative reviews,
This course far exceeded my expectations! After reading several of the reviews, I was surprised to find that anyone would complain about conditions, since the course was in perfect condition from tee to green and everything in between. It's a challenging course, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for high handicappers, but mid to low handicappers will find this fun but challenging. I highly recommend using a GPS app because a lack of course knowledge probably cost me four strokes. I've played a huge number of courses throughout Arizona, and would probably rank this in my top 15.
Mountain Shadows Golf Course

This course offers a great opportunity to hone your short game skills. Reasonably challenging, well-balanced, undulating greens. A very good value for the money, and a far better than average par 3 course.

Fairways and greens were in excellent shape, while the edges were a little choppy. Overall, still very nice value.
Coldwater Golf Club

Is it the best course you'll play in the Phoenix marketplace this time of year? Nope. Is it the worst? Definitely not. Is it one of the best values in town when golf rates are at their peak? Unquestionably. The fairways were in excellent condition. The greens were a bit sandy and surprisingly were extremely fast. Don't find yourself off the edges, as once you get outside the second cut (which will likely happen when you play here the first time and are unfamiliar with the course), as it is concrete...be sure to bring a desert club. Otherwise, again, a great value and not a terribly far drive from downtown.
