Fairways and greens were in very good condition. Tee boxes were terrible and clubhouse is like a portable classroom building. There was excess water on numerous holes due to the recent hurricanes but they did some work around to make it playable.

Enjoyed our round and got a good price on a special. Condition of the course and employee helpfulness were both moderate but not great. Definitely not a $60 per round course but above average for the area.

Played course today and overall it was a disappointing experience. Greens are in really poor shape due to a fungus however what was left was so long and slow that it easily cost us ten strokes. There is a LOT of casual water that is not shown on the scorecard in the fairways. The links design where you never see the clubhouse again until the 18th hole is not golfer friendly. The bar is a hike from the parking lot and there was no one there and choices and prices were absurd. Judging by how few golfers were on the course we were all guessing how long it would be until they shut the course down and build homes on that real estate. Would not recommend and will never go back.

Overall the course is in great shape and the layout is tough but forgiving. Greens may be the toughest part of the course unless you hit too many bunkers. Nachos and brews afterwards were very good so all in all it was a great day!

This course has deteriorated and no longer has the consistency that it did in past years. Greens were not at all consistent and the sand traps were hard and had not been tilled for quite some time. The fairways were jarringly bumpy, even at slow speeds, in many areas. Overall it remains a better than average course but like many courses in Central Florida it is on the downswing from it’s better years.

There is more sand on this course than any in the area and many traps are very deep. Fairways and greens could have used a little more watering. Recycled water is used here and it did have a strong odor at times. Tee boxes for us older duffers (IV) were in tough shape on many holes. Greens are wicked as they are very hard to read but we still enjoyed the challenge! All in all an above average course with an excellent layout.

We liked this course more than we expected based on some reviews. Fairways were not as narrow or crowned as anticipated and in pretty decent condition considering recent dry weather. Greens need work and are quite slow but most traps had soft sand. Bill was great at explaining course layout, idiosyncrasies etc.. Recommend High Jackers grille, next to airport for a great meal and very cold refreshments afterwards.

Enjoyed the course as each hole looked and played differently. Greens are very fast and back nine was somewhat more challenging than the front. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Nice course layout with some tough trap locations and fast greens. Rolling fairways with plenty of up or downhill lies. Cart paths are in very rough shape so drive slowwww and be ready for some extremely long drives between some holes as the course winds its way around the airport.

Had high expectations after reading other reviews. Course was fairly plain Jane as most holes looked and played the same. You know it's boring when you get excited by an incremental dogleg left or right. Sands traps were hard as a rock. Fairways and greens were in good shape for this time of year. Decent value off Golfnow.com but we would choose other area courses before returning to Pelican Bay North.

Fairways are quite open and in very good condition. Greens were quite slow but in great shape. There are a lot of long par 4 holes and many traps. Overall a very challenging course for Intermediate players. Nice bar, reasonable prices and free appetizers from 4-7. Unfortunately there was no balcony or patio for those who like to sit outdoors.

Enjoyed playing South Hampton as the fairways allow some room for error but watch out for the bunkers. Club selection is key on this course or you will be playing from the sand a lot! Greens were a little rough and they are definitely faster than most area courses.
